What classic games would you like to see remastered?

Here is a few PC games that I wouldn't mind getting a modern remake!

Magic Carpet! :o Loved that :D

Dark Forces - I've always wanted to play them, but they make me feel sick, so only really got into the series from JK2. But it'd be nice to have the entire series redone, DF + JK.
Sword of the Stars - yes there's a #2, and it's still fairly pretty IMO, but it's lacking and a bit meh. Which is a shame because I love the races, ships etc.
Tiberium Sun + RA2 - Still totally playable today, but them being a bit prettier would be nice.
KoTOR
Baldur's Gate 1 + 2- EE exists, but I'd like it redone on a newer engine, and not turn based like BG3 is. I prefer real time with pause.
Birth of the Federation and Bridge Commander

Those are what spring to mind, but I've probably missed a load. Black and White was mentioned and is a good shout since there aren't really any games similar to it (AFAIK).

"Total Air War" from 1998 which was an F-22 simulator (plus a whole bunch more) with THE best dynamic campaign generation ever, better than the acclaimed Falcon 4 version!

The only single I'd change is the graphics to something equivalent to DCS level fidelity, but not a single other thing at all, just the graphics.

Anyone remember a turn based space strategy/combat game called VGA Planets? You used to send your turn files over a modem to a bulletin board for a host to progress and then send back the turn results file, that's how old the game is. I suppose this style of game has long been supplanted by proper online games, but I wouldn't mind the original game being updated graphically but still have this offline turn based approach, though the turn processing would be automated nowadays I guess. I know back in the day the game was quite constrained by the limits of the computers in them days, so the was a max limit to the number of ships in a game for example, but this wouldn't be an issue nowadays I imagine.

Also wonder what someone could do with the Lemmings franchise these days, some mileage in that I would have thought.

Freelancer
No-one Lives Forever 1 and 2
Wolfenstein Enemy Territory
Unreal Tournament 99 (with all the crazy mods/skins!)
Bushido Blade- would be nice in vr...

I was very surprised to see Forgotten Hope (bf1942 mod) get mentioned up thread. That was the most incredible mod I had ever seen at the time. Ah, the Polish tankette, AKA "the clown car"...

Rainbow Islands
The Chaos Engine
Gods

Wow a bitmap bro's game that takes me back.

I'd also love a Heroes of Might and Magic Remake , specifically HOMM3. Oh and a Dark Messiah of might and magic remake also because that game was ground breaking for an FPS in its day.

a few years ago (before covid). at the computer history museum in cambridge Jon Hare of sensible software and Mike Montgomery of bitmap bros gave a joint presentation and the museum was geared out with all their games to play on. a fantastic (and boozy) night all round and I was fortunate enough to have a good long chat over a few beers with Mike later on.

@NinjaCool did you ever see this? Although I hate the term, it was touted as a spiritual successor to dungeon keeper.

Going console here but G-Police and Colony Wars from the PS1.

G-Police but with the city domes the the size and detail of something like GTA V or Watch Dogs 2. Yes please!

Colony Wars. There doesn't seem to be many 'good old fashioned' space dogfighting games these days. The gameplay from what I recall was really solid. Maybe just make the campaign more dynamic so it felt like you are part of a real and greater conflict.

Yes I probably played it when it came out in 2015 and quite enjoyed it since its similar to Dungeon Keeper :)

Not sure if it's already been mentioned but one that I grew up playing with my older brother and cousin over multiplayer which got me into PC Gaming and mainly FPS Games was Medal of Honor - Allied Assault.
