What did you do to your bike today?

Who declares the mods they do to the insurance company?

Example: I want black levers and black Renthals then a rear hugger and belly pan topping it off with twin head lamps.

Far as I know these are all 'optional extras' but do I actually have to declare them?

Pug. Good effort for the lights but not my cup of tea:D

I declare all my mods yes, most insurers that I have been with don't charge for non-performance mod's like screens/levers etc.

The only thing that put my price up (by £50) was my full Akrapovic exhaust system.

Ok thanks.

I think Hastings will charge for declaring mods. They said there will be no charge when I declared the crash bungs and Fuel end can. Guess i will find out when I get the black levers and Renthals in a month or so.

Today.....

First time washing a bike..... failed.... really need a hose! Although Muc-off works a treat.

Then I put the new exhaust gasket in and yay! No more blowing...

Then.. ACF-50. The got it on, all good... well maybe a tad too much.. need to rewipe tomorrow but oh dear I got it on the brakes and now I need some brake cleaner:mad:

So I have decided that I CAN NOT be bothered with ACF-50 as I am far too incompetent and instead will be using these guys...

Also can I jet wash a bike? (Suzuki Bandit with carb's)

I had my bike professionally cleaned and acf50'd last year and the bloke doing it said he'd done his best to stay away from the brakes but there would be some on there so be careful till it bured off.

Was a little scary when I was moving through traffic with no brakes but it soon burned off and everything was ok again.

Surely a professional would cover the discs!?

Fitted some Iridium Sparkies, and a Hairy R's 1/5th Quick action throttle!
Got a new screen and Air filter on the way too!

Need to sort my clutch next weekend and get the rear brake line changed, and swap out for the HRC reservoir, maybe put some Sintered rear pads in too....

Next is either RCS master cyclinder or sell my PC3 and get the Bazzas Set... (Fuel,QS,TC)

Oh wow... Those lights are a bit... 'vibrant'.

I would ditch them asap mate, really. If you can agree with us that they are chavtastic, then that should say it all...

A month after I broke my first stubbies, I've finally replaced the orginals again...

The first ones where gold with red adjusters. I think I prefer this colour scheme.

What kind of money is a 'professional clean' please? From a professional Elliot, not you, and this is for my bike, not me. :P

Are they eBay ones? they look nice, always said I wouldn't buy cheap ones but they do look good, are you impressed with the quality? got a link?

they look good ElliorR thanks, I'm going to get a set... cant go wrong for £25, If i don't like em then no great loss at that price.

I think i'm going to get shorty, any regrets from you regarding size (of the levers that is .. lol) ? I do always try use just 2 fingers on the levers.

No regrets, I don't think I'd get on with the shorties.

Yeah, mine are from the same guys -

Great for the money. I might get another set in a different colour :)

That's a good idea, never thought of that.
