What did you do to your bike today?

Nothing too exciting but after you could see more bug splatters than paint I thought a clean was in order ha.

Quick question though, tyres are a little faded on the tyre walls, do any of you use a tyre shine product to bring back the black?

nice benji, what years that? im in love with the 2013 models, big piston forks

I don't use anything to clean tyre sidewalls, just a rag to wipe any tyre soap off if ive had a tyre fitted

some washing up liquid on a sponge should clean em up

(is that your mpg on it? think I manage around that on my 98 model)

June 2010

I through away all my previous receipts and didn't really keep track of mileage but since I discovered fuelly (2 weeks ago) that is the MPG from the last two fill ups.

I went around at the very end with an old cloth (didn't want to use the sponge which I use for bodywork only). After drying up those the tyre walls have that faded browny kind of colour to them.

On my car I pay a fiver and about 6 chaps that barely speak English do a fantastic job washing it down in about 10 minutes and they apply a bit of tyre paint or something with a paint brush that brings out the tyre walls. Not sure what it is and if its safe to do so on a bike (wouldn't want it too close to the top of the tyre wall (not that my chicken strips are anything to brag about).

edit: that is the number plate for the MOT, not the reduced size one I have on normally. It looks huge now that its on lol.

yh I know you can buy some, its like shaving cream it foams up,aslong as your carefull not to get any on the tread should be fine

you just wash it off after a few minutes

they look good in white aswell, greens to common

Went for my first ever ride on a bike today as a pillion - absolutely ****ing loved it! He's got a Super Blackbird and we found some quiet dual carriageways to upon it up on :D

New 2-2 exhaust fitted today. Huge improvement in midrange. Sounds lush. Riding through town today with it fitted to test it all out, I set off 3 car alarms....lol....V-Twin powah!!!

Got a riding budy now which is good. Did 40 miles yesterday evening and 50 today. Great fun. I tried out the Diablo Superbiker app, apparently I had a top speed of 431km/h and a lean angle of 79 degrees. Not bad for an old bike :p

What you gone for?
See Below.

after all you said about the triumph:eek:and the shiver:eek:and the vfr:eek:
haha:p
Everyone of them was perfect at the time & tbh the only way you know whether a bike is for you or not is by owning it.

Again?! :D you don't half get through a few bikes! :D

See above. :D

A harley?

Poor mans Harley :p

It's a Vulcan 800 Classic which I am going to turn into something like this but with Swept back bars.

Threw everything which needed fixing kits/fitting to the bike for Europe and took it out on a quick run to make sure nothing falls off! Can notice the extra weight over the back wheel but once you are moving can hardly tell the panniers are on at all. Pretty confident I can pack light enough to leave them unexpanded as seen in vid. Still need to try some more mic positions, current one has less wind noise but more distortion for some reason.
