What did you do to your bike today?

Picked it up !

Managed to score a 2001 NT 650 Deauvile in average condition thanks to the wonders of Gumtree for £650 notes, will get me to work and back a little quicker than the 125 while I decide what else to buy!

Nothing yet but took delivery of a brand spanking new second-hand screen for the Versys.
I bought a slipscreen from a member of the Versys forum.
Hopefully now no more wind-noise and crying.

Got a right dirty look from some **** in a white van as I made my way to the front of the queue, road works the full length of the road, must have passed 30 cars as i made my way to the front :D such a good feeling, has probably wore off for you more advanced bikers!

Never gets old.

If there's a bad smash on the M62 all traffic gets diverted downt he A-roads I use which means about 10miles / 30misn of filtering - that is when I just chuckle to myself thinking back to when I used to drive :D

I used to be one of those people :D now I'm the one that's filtering I don't care! :p

Just ordered - All in one rear light Brake light & Reg light with bracket, 4 small like arrow head LED indicators & a Universal flasher unit - Total = £21.72p :D

S'posed to take 4-5 days post & then it's Chop the back off the back, Sling the old Indicators in the bin, Fit the LED's with new flasher unit, Heat shrink it all, Fit the rear/brake/reg light & hodge podge the bracket for the light into a Reg plate holder as well & mount it off my left rear wheel nut I reckon.

Will also rip the front mud gaurd off & see what it looks like without it, If I don't like it then I'll cut the front one down until I do like it. :p

Installed third eye LED bulb... this was pretty extensive.

Next up, new projector headlights with LED strips and halos

A sad update - I put the Caponord up for sale today. I'm getting in early ahead of test rides on Saturday on the BMW S1000XR and the new Multistrada. I don't think I'll be buying one until next year though, so I'll likely be without a bike for nearly a year :o

Some White BMW X6 pulled across to stop me filtering then when the lanes opened up I was going along side him and he tried to come over into me / my lane!
Made me want to test my titanium Dainese gloves on his pos car but I held it together.
First time that has ever happened to me, I guess he didn't like Ducati :(
I should probably get a helmet camera.

I have a guy trying to make a claim against me for something similar, I filtered through traffic and took the gap once traffic started moving, a hood car and a half length away fro me the butt hurt guy behind decided to take offence and accelerated hard to catch up and drive straight through me knocking me into the next lane. He drove off and got caught at lights so I pulled in front of him and got of to have a word and he drove through my bike again dissapering off down the a2. I gave up as when I checked my bike all the damage was a bent foot peg, one new bolt later and all was well. He got home to find a bloody giant scratch down the side of his car... I took salvation in that a biker must've banging his wife.

Holding it together is the hardest part but the most rewarding too, we'll played to you, ecspecially when they explode in your face with rage! shrug it off and enjoy the learning experience knowing your the better man and will be a better rider. In my instance I didn't even think to get or remember his number plate.

Man that is unbelievable! He actually hit you, than ran your bike over and now is trying to claim against you so must have remembered your plate? The audacity of some people!

S1000XR seems like a no-brainer compared to Multistrada. :D

BTW

In around a week, just over a week I did nearly 700 miles on a 125. :p

Ordered some Foam grips that slip over your existing grips, I bought some for my Trophy & they do a great job of cutting down any vibrations & the feel of them is just right.

Can't wait for my other bits to arrive so I can start Bobbing.
