What did you do to your bike today?

From Amazon, Search for - "Strada 7 Motorcycle Foam Comfort Grip anti vibration Covers"
They're £12.95 with Free UK delivery. Like I said above I bought some for my Trophy & although they are thinner than I thought they'd be they work giving a nice feel to the grips as well as stopping you feeling any vibration coming up through the bars.

Lovely cheers mate.

Don't forget to choose the Grips for Your Bike or get the Universal ones if your bike isn't listed.

Just ordered some, they look great, can't go wrong for £13, I do find my bars give off a lot of vibration because you need to rev it so much.

Man that is unbelievable! He actually hit you, than ran your bike over and now is trying to claim against you so must have remembered your plate? The audacity of some people!

I pulled in front of him to get him to stop, this was my first road traffic collision/accident whatever they are called, so I took the niave approach that he would co-operate and civilly swap details. How wrong was I , now I always ride with camera and charge it every night so im never caught short of battery life.

In that moment your helmet becomes a weapon! :p

As much as this would go through your head if things got physical, this is exactly what u want to avoid. It's only going to land u in trouble. Scare off any witnesses or can change witnesses stories.

However if you could get away with it.... :p

Be interested in your in depth knowledge to tell us all why ???

Multistrada is made by ducati which is Italian, Italian bikes aren't reliable. The S1000XR IMO looks better and that crackle/pop from the stock exhaust is nioce. Did I mention it has the same engine as the S1000RR? :p

Some other points:
-Cheaper running costs
-Better weight distribution
-Wider Handlebars
-Better seating position, seems a bit higher -might be placebo, haven't ridden them just sat on them
-Higher revving engine :D
-Better ESP -better suited for traffic filtering
-Weights less

Not hating on Ducati, as I do like the Panigale 1299 Tricolore. No frame and everything attached to the engine seems interesting, btw are there any other bikes without a frame?

Last night noticed the chain was a bit slack so adjusted it, cleaned it so gold links glisten nicelty then lubed it in preparation for going to work on the bike today.

This morning, cba to put my gear on so jumped in the car as per most days :p

So the "what did you do you your bike today?" translates to got her hopes up and then stood her up...that's how you get misfires ;)

Travelled 150km to show Sin_Chase what he was missing at the Grand Saint Bernard pass and then rode 150km back. About 400km's today :D

Video coming soon.

Thought it must be time to pay the petrol station a visit but only got 7 quid in, Bikes great on fuel compared to my other recent bikes, Think I need to Thrash it more. :p

I'm having to visit the petrol station more than once in a blue moon since going from 100mpg to 60ish mpg sickening! :D

On paper it probably is the better bike, although BMW reliability hasn't been that great over the past few years.

Engine is personal preference, although I'd prefer to be on an IL4 in heavy traffic, and a big v-twin everywhere else.

Haha, missing? I tried to take a mountain pass which turned out to be a train.

Me "So... No road?"
Toll Booth Lady "No road..."

Took the next pass up!

Klausenpass was great though! Good mix of open sweepers, hairpins, rural and alpine.

You really can't go wrong with any of the passes, and there's no way you can do them all in one trip.

I just used it as an excuse to visit the pass again :)

I take it you're still having a great time?

Switzerland was my favourite country by far, I'm back in France on the autoroute slog home. I'd come back just to do Switzerland alone I think, such a stunning place.

Hard to beat the Grande Tour Des Alpes for all out riding enjoyment though. Over the 600 whatever KM there is a bit of everything. Was shocked just how quickly the terrain changes. The last sections in the south in to Menton were hard work for sure - tight, largely downhill, not so great Road surface, rocks the lot... Enjoyed every second of it.

Let me know if you're ever back here, I'd happily show you around.

Sorry I was on tour at the same time as you. The offer always stands if we're ever both in the same country.

I did the best bits of the alps tour myself during those 3 days.

which bike is that?
Trophy drunk like a fish when you pushed it on & the Aprilia Shivers tank is about as big as a fairy liquid bottle. :p

Ripped a few more bits off the bike this evening, Saddle bag bars & rear rest & rack, Gone. :D Makes the rear light & plate set up looking even more hideous sticking out the back like it does but my Bob bits should be here mid next week so not to long to wait.
Also me mate gave me an idea for my seat, I'm going to cut the original seat underneath through the plastic base just behind the hump, strip out any padding I don't need then roll it back & under the seat & staple it back in place, think I'll use some kind of support across the cut leather to roll the loose up with & fix it in place with a few self tappers giving the staples less to do. :)
