Yep about £10-15 fitting for a loose wheel is normal. If you've got a paddock stands and a car you may as well take the loose wheels, saves money for half an hour of your time.

Just putting this out there you can get a bead breaker for about 30 nuggets on the bay.. tyre levers are pretty cheap too.
Iv heard good thing about openeo, im mixed about mytyre nowadays after it took three weeks to deliver a tyre to me!

sure its not the rectifier? you can test it easy with a multimeter,it should be putting above 12v back into the battery
you can also unbolt it and clean the earth up,so its making good contact
take it into a local friendly bike shop and ask them nicely to check the rectifier/regulator output
they shouldn't charge you
if it is the stator id be very surprised and they are expensive,mines 17 years old and still going
