What did you do to your bike today?

Because you go splat on a bike when you hit something,in a car u shrug your shoulders and get out

But it is a bit ott all the rules and regulations, what's wrong with a 125 for few years? Plenty power and why do you need to overtake everything? Do that when you filter

Plenty? Seriously? haha :p

Wazza lets swap for a week, I wonder how long you would survive on a 125. :)

It's because you can't afford a Lamborghini while anyone can afford a super sports bike so you get a lot more problems with high powered bikes.
True, but then you have rich kids who drive exotic supercars, although when I was in ace cafe I saw lots of young people in addidas sports gear riding supersports. The minimum I always wear are gloves, jacket and mandatory helmet. I can't be bothered to wear kevlar jeans and protective boots on a 2 mile journey to a shop...

That's what I'm thinking as well, 47 will do me nicely until I do full A 2 years on from passing A2 and at some point I'd unrestrict it and do with whichever bike I end up with for another 3+ years. Only reason I'm not thinking about 300s is I don't want to invest in something that I haven't got to restrict only to be completely upset with it a few months down the line.
You've similiar way of thinking to me, although those little 300cc's are cute. :p

Easy man,idk how four stroke 125's fair but I ride my two stroke 125 kmx for few years, and I bought another while my 600 was laid up and rode it for a while

Few hours riding u soon get used to it and enjoy it,could do 90mph plenty speed, nothing like the sound and sweet smell of a two stroke

But your young and I understand the lure of a faster machine

The duke 125 is actually really nippy, 15bhp, gets up to 70 nice and easy, that's all you need to be doing. ;)

Yeah, its not bad. On the acceleration YZF125 and CBR125 are left behind usually, whilst we went on a top speed run I was getting ahead of yzf 125 and still going. But I didn't want to hold the bike on the red line for too long, so I let go. 85mph is the top speed the duke will go with me on it, today I hit 70mph on a road where I usually hit 62-63mph tops before a roundabout and today I managed to do 72mph.

Not so much the lure of a faster machine, but bigger. I'm over 6ft1, most 125s are just too small. On duke I can put both legs down and my knees are bent. But I also want the acceleration, the MT07 is a beast for A2 cat. I've seen 4.6s 0-62mph on a 35kW. :D

85? I can't get mine to 75! :p revving it at the limit in 6th gear flat out, it will do 73, maybe more downhill with the wind behind me lol.

Layers!

I find a thermal under layer and T-shirt beneath my jacket keeps me roasting.

I had 2 T-shirts and a jumper on underneath my jacket which also has a thermal lining inside which wasn't too bad but still cold, my legs though felt like they were going to fall off!

Had to replace rear indicator as something has happened to it to make it snap in the middle and sheer the wire....

On taking the back end off the bike to get to the wiring I snapped one of the bolts holding in the grab rail

The 85mph was a very slight downhill, on flat I hit 78mph tops without heavy winds. Mine does 68mph on 5th gear before it cuts out, ;)

Dropped it.

Did you pull the front break whilst rolling in traffic? That's how my mate dropped his...

just whacked white van mans mirror while filtering:eek::D

all I heard was this almighty whack! and I giggled and left the scene sharpish

Oh no,how?

I was rolling up to a set of lights that had been on red for a while and decided to try and see how slow i could go before putting my foot down. Next thing i know the bike is on the floor, i only just managed to put my foot down before i went with it.

It was quite funny but also embarrassing and no one got out of their cars to help, they just drove around me.

No i try to only use the rear when moving slowly.
