What did you do to your bike today?

I was rolling up to a set of lights that had been on red for a while and decided to try and see how slow i could go before putting my foot down. Next thing i know the bike is on the floor, i only just managed to put my foot down before i went with it.

It was quite funny but also embarrassing and no one got out of their cars to help, they just drove around me.

I do that a lot, today when taking off I didn't use the throttle just let go of the clutch slowly (in a car park). Didn't you have that feeling of falling? I usually get it and that's when my foot goes down automatically.

I had a really close call today, a idiot was going 60mph he breaked hard and tried to turn left, he than quickly changed his mind and went straight on. My back wheel locked up and I was skidding, let go of the breaks and broke again which helped me to stop in time. I need ABS, so handy in situations like this...

BTW anyone on a 125 around Hertfordshire fancy a ride somewhere? Apparently its going to rain the whole week, but next week if anyone wants to go out for a ride I'm in. I just can't do weekends as I work. :(

Edit

Tried on Shoei GT Air today size L, the fit was perfect. Out of all the helmets I tried this one was the best fit, I also tried on Schubert but the fit wasn't as good as the shoei. What's the best brand out there and is it true the Schuberth helmets are the quietest?

Schuberth are the only ones cocky enough to put the decibel rating of their helmet in the product description. How accurate it is is another story though :p

I love my Shoei, brilliant helmets, quiet, light and comfy!

Buy from here if you do, all Shoei helmets are on offer with free Kevlar jeans worth £120 :)

No point for me, got a 35 leg and they only go up to regular at 32 :(

Regular 32 is quite long though tbh, I'm 32" leg and mine are too long for me, need to get them turned up, not too bad when tucked into my boots but when I wear my other shoes they are quite baggy.

I have a GT Air. Get a tinted visor as the internal one is useless.

Might get them then just to try out, can always sell them on I suppose.

The internal visor on my Shark S900C is perfect not too dark but just enough to take the edge off the sun and my eyes are quite sensitive to bright lights.

My front break lever break piston is not going back out I think, or the breakpads are gone totally...

Edit

Fixed it the 1 piston didn't go out, I bought muc off break cleaner, now the breaks are really sharp e.g. from 60 to 0 in no time :D

Then got some Pilot Street Radials because the Chinese unbranded ones don't work in the cold or rain:

What's the best tail tidy? R&G? Are they easy to fit? Bike is KTM Duke 125.

I've R&G tail tidy, if you have any questions or want any pictures at certain angles let me know.

BTW You should certainly get hand guards, it gives the bike character and makes it look bigger (that's what she said.) :D

That 1st redhead is my *****. :p
