What did you do to your bike today?

Ah yes, that is the risk. However at least you know it is your own doing :). I've taken my bike to a garage to get the front tyre changed; only then to realise they failed to tighten two of the brake caliper bolts back up. Quite unnerving parking up and seeing those bolts hanging out of the side of the caliper.

MT-03 is being added to the range, I wonder what the price will be since you can pretty much grab a brand new MT07 for 4.8k...

The MT-03 was around in 2006, it was the original bike of the series. Presumably the new one is going to be for learners, to compete with the 390 duke etc?

Correct. :)

Edit

I had to get ECC involved, when I mentioned ECC got an instant reply confirming a full refund and free of charge pick up of the wrong goods.

BTW The lady over at ECC was really helpful and has given me brilliant advice.

Finally, after 5 days...
Well still possible 8 days of waiting time...

I remember taking a bike somewhere to have the wheels balanced (funnily enough it was the vfr again, my usual couldn't balance up the rear wheel since its a single sided swing arm) only to get home after to find that neither the axle bolt nor the pinch bolts on the forks were tightened up. didn't even have an axle bolt in it when i got home!

Bought some Michelin Pilot Street Radials for my Chinese 125 in 110 front and 130 rear.

The ones it came with have barely worn but they are scary in the wet. I'm hoping that these with be significantly better...

And it is exactly incidents like this that made me switch to doing my own servicing. I realise that all garages are not the same, but you only have to experience that once to put you off.

Fitted my new plate today. No Triumph advertising, no address, just the registration and a little smaller. One of the best mods I've done :)

Also stuck it on instead of making holes, so no more nasty plastic screws and bolts.

First thing I done when I got my bike, nice new clean plate slightly undersized and attached with sticky pads.
Makes the back end look much cleaner.

Got the last few bits for camping/touring on the bike, that being a self inflating camping mat, some more merino wool base layers (mountain warehouse, £25 each for L/S top and bottoms, with 20% off all weekend if anyone's interested ;)) and a microfibre towel.

Test fitted the kriega US30 with all my camping stuff, which is:

tent
sleeping bag
roll mat
towel

+ plus still some space for a few odds and ends - a normal size 3 season sleeping bag would probably fit in with the rest of the bits, my one is a tiny summer sleeping bag.

That's not fully tightened down at the front, it's not budging when it's fully tight. A couple of US20's would go very nicely on that :D My Kriega R30 sits on top when I'm riding, just need to make the straps slightly smaller, and it takes 100% of the weight of the rucksack.

Also picked up a cheap rollbag for my waterproofs - I'll be keeping them in my tank bag and if they're wet i need to keep the moisture away from phone/wallet/passport etc, £3.99 from sports direct for a 5 litre rollbag, which is perfect for the richa rain warrior top and bottoms.

They have sizes from 2 litres up to 25 litres, all under a tenner so if you need a cheap waterproof roll bag have a look. I may pick up a couple more, they're handing for keeping wet stuff with dry things or as another layer to protect from rain.

And yes, I know my bike needs a damn good wash! :o

Went for a nice coastal road ride with a couple of friends, stopping at Cromer cliff top for a drink in the sunshine :)

The Ducati looks so small and stylish! The seat is so tidy. Shame the Honda isn't a Yamaha. I really love those Yamaha colours.

Put the S1000RR through it's paces at Donny today, first time there for me and first track day outing for the beemer too, it didn't disappoint

Sorry to hear about the troubles you've had with your ktm duke IC3, I traded my Honda cbr125 in for a ktm duke 125 5 weeks ago and it's been perfect, Mine is a 2012 model, 4k miles in black and grey, love it. :)
