What did you do to your bike today?

looks better now craig,dont they do the integrated brakelight/indicators aswell? wouldn't need any indicators then

@freeman looks good,id have thought they sold the old style crash bars for those bikes

Hmmm that'd be nice! I'll have a look out for those.

Tis a shame I have to put a number plate & lights on, looked so good when I had it off earlier.

Had a run out to P&H motorbikes to have a fondle of some bikes - did just over 100 miles and the new brakes are bedding in nicely, they now have stonking power and feel. I keep on finding myself braking at the point I was used to braking at, and being at the right speed about 100 yards before where I wanted to be :p I haven't used them fully yet either, barely been touching them.

Oh, and saw a LaFerrari following a black 458 on a roundabout going onto the M23, the Laferrari gave it a spanking onto the slip road, sounded awesome.

Loads of bikes too, people making the most of probably one of the last proper riding days left this year :(

Yeah they do but I don't like them. They do them in chrome which I'm trying to get away from on that bike.

I didn't think the R&G would go with my bike but they actually look really good once fitted.

I went on a short ride today with cold and cough, couldn't waste another sunny day like this! :rolleyes:

Prep day today, ready for a trip to North Wales next week

* Trial fitted my Kriega US30
* Cleaned & Polished Bike
* Checked & lubed Chain
* Washed Textiles in some waterproofing fluid

Had some new Metzeler - Sportec M7 RR tyres fitted a few days ago and got the EVO 6 map enabled by KickStart Motorcycles in Port Talbot.

Changed the oil, cleaned, adjusted and lubed the chain and done my tyre pressures.

Then took it out for a nice little blast just to make sure everything was right.

So it seems that it wasn't an exhaust rattle but what I am guessing is valve clearances. Its a knocking/ticking from 3k upwards and the bike has done 26.5k now so its the right time. Confirmed the noise was coming from just above the clutch when i gave her an oil change and new filter today.

Cant do it myself as i dont have the space etc and i use it every day

could be camchain tensioner rattle aswell? if valves have never been done though its worth checking I suppose

shouldn't be hard on a v twin

if its bucket and shim valves they should get quieter if anything

What dimensions did you get?

Same here, I wouldn't take all my bike apart outside and replaced pretty much the whole installation along with alternator. If I had a garage, would give it a go, but would probably end up in the mechanics... I only played around with 50cc 2T engines when I was younger. :p
