What did you do to your bike today?

I do like naked bikes, but on a longer journey whilst doing higher speeds you start to feel the wind, also in bad weather conditions fairings make life easier. I love the sound of IL4 tho, it sounds so angry and aggressive.

I would like to experience V-Twin properly, it would probably be better to have 47bhp V-Twin than a IL4 47bhp, right?

With the gears, I use all 6 gears in town...

Like I said before I like ducati's, but I would never own one myself. Maybe in the distant future when I'm old and only use the bike on a sunny Sunday. BTW I never see any Ducati riders when it rains, I wonder why? :p

True, on a longer motorway journey a fairing is nice. Naked bikes are like licence savers though - on a litre sport bike you can be doing over a ton and you don't notice. Anything approaching 3 figures on a naked and you know you're doing that speed! :D 80-90mph on my naked is comfortable but above that the wind blast starts getting mighty strong.

47bhp v-twin will have lots low down, more torque making it easier to ride. 47bhp IL4 will have bugger all low down torque, and all the power above 6k rpm. But.. it'll be fun to ride to the redline all the time :D I'm talking non-restricted bikes here, not sure how a 90bhp IL4 restricted would be like, I think you're better off with a twin if you're gonna restrict.

The only thing I didn't like about the first gen zx10r was the tankslap, they were lethal without a steering damper,I still rate them the best looking though

There she is after a clean and polish. Engine casing protectors are scratched but i bought them like that! Mine has never been down the road.

The Gen4 steering dampers are crap. Had mine re-valved to race spec. Actually works now...

If you like sheer speed and grunt they are awesome bikes, lighter than the 600's too

Mine didn't have one fitted as standard, but I fitted a sprint one,was fine after

I don't know why, but I'm kind of scared of ever riding a 200bhp+ SuperSport bike. But on the other hand I can't wait till I actually can, I know I'll be one of the many who can't use the full potential. I just want to experience the acceleration, 100mph on 1st gear is madness if you ask me. :D

I would be happy with GSXR 750 K8 tho.

Pshhh the more bhp and lbft the better! Would love to take a 300bhp turbo charged Hayabusa or H2R out!

*coughs*

thank you ;)

Lucy looks sexy and it probably sounds beefy with that akra. :D Shame you can't enlarge the photo on fuelly. :(

BTW got caught by the rain today and didn't have my waterproof trousers with me, as soon as I walked into my house its stopped and sun came out...

Not mine ;) he probably backed off on a few bends where i get on it, i don't disagree a blackbird wont spank a cbr 6, i know pound for pound it will, either way i'm still taking this victory, he was genuinely shocked and then annoyed at my mocking tone

Oh I meant to ask why did you have the fairings off you fightering it?

Sorry to hear about the drop did you have the fairings back on before it or did you scratch the shot out of the frame?

Noticed I still have a leak from the radiator and the Honda Dealership told me it'd cost around £500 to have it replaced.

Thankfully they tried a fix on the cap that seems to have held up. If I had to shell out £500 quid to fix an issue that wasn't even my fault that'd be it for me and biking. It's supposed to be cheaper than a car but of course with my luck it's been far more expensive.

Went to Snetterton today for No Limits track day, ended up riding a track prep CBR600RR for most of the day and then last session on my mates BMW S1000RR.
The CBR was a bit cramped for me at 6'3 but still had fun and learnt a lot, S1000RR made my day though, the power, electronics and ergonomics were just perfect for me.
I think I am hooked now

Its the beauty of S1000RR, every one 6ft1+ seems to love this superbike.

BTW
I damaged my phone today on my ride, forgot my side pockets aren't waterproof and now my PC is not recognising my phone. yay! The good thing is I've insurance, 24h swap out (took the phone under my mums business contract  )

I also lubed the chain, no more noises from the chain when I push the bike. I've also change the front main beam bulb as I'm still waiting for the parking light bulb to come in. But the difference is huge, I'm going to London on Friday to my friends party so better light will help at night commute! :D

Edit

How often do you people lube your... chains?
