Not too expensive either - 2000 miles is roughly £200 worth of fuel, Eurotunnel is about £75, 11 nights of accommodation/camping at £10 a night for camping and £20-30 for a hotel/b&b for a couple of nights is £150, that makes £425, so say £500 - then just food, beer and spending money. Nearly 2 weeks away in the alps for £500 + spending money? Yes thanks!
This stuff gets me through the winter nights I love camping when touring as it brings down the cost loads, paying £30-40 a night for hotels/B&B soon bumps up the cost vs paying a tenner a night camping.
