What did you do to your bike today?

Mod 1 booked again for Tuesday, definitely going to pass this time!!

Good luck :)

For some reason I woke up today terrified of my upcoming Theory. Been doing fine on the online tests and I've prepared more for this one than I did my driving theory (booked it a day before I took it and just did two quick online tests before doing the actual thing) yet I'm more nervous.

Today I mostly got my bike really muddy, again. For some reason the roads around here, even the main roads, are really muddy. Hopefully it doesn't last. Maybe it's just because it's white and new. Will be giving it another thorough wash this weekend!

You have to get her dirty from time to time, they're meant to be ridden not kept under a blanket in a garage just because its wet outside. :)

Roads are filthy from now until spring round here, when it's damp my visor is filthy by the time I get to work.

Oh and on the way in this morning, something had dropped a solid 3ft wide line of oil (not the occasional spot, it was a solid band) for literally (not exaggerating one bit) 7.5 miles

How something can drop that much oil is beyond me, I spent half my commute riding in the gutter or near the middle of the road avoiding it. Was tempted to ring the council but they wouldn't do anything.

Not entirely true. If it is reported, and they don't act, and someone has an accident on it, the council could be liable for costs.

Thank you :) don't worry about your theory, you'll ace it :)

The best one is Diesel all over the roundabouts just after petrol stations, there's one on my commute that often has a large part of it covered. Luckily it's about 8 miles in so I've woken up by that point :D

Yeah I have a roundabout like that on my commute, right next to a petrol station. Luckily it's mid dual carriageway so I always take the inside lane. I've even seen a shovel laying in the road on that roundabout!

Got some Michelin Pilot Road 3 fitted to replace the (original) Dunlops on my SV650S.

Wow. What a huge difference they've made.

It's giving me a lot more confidence in the corners. Wrong time of year for that maybe, but still...they've got to be safer than my squared off three year old Dunlops!

Yes, it needs a wash too!

I didn't get the chance to meet up with him as I was in Italy at the time.

He did miss the best route into Italy though:

Got my bike booked in to allyearbiker on Saturday morning, be good to get a good clean for the first time! :p. No doubt it'll be filthy again within 5mins of the motorway home.

Ordered some SDOC100 chain cleaner, castrol chain lube and some EBC organic rear brake pads (don't need loads of stopping power at the rear, my rear brake is good enough already).

My MOT is due 23rd December and I won't need a new rear tyre for it, still got a good couple of thousand miles life left on it I reckon. Might see if I can book it in at the end of November. Tax is due end of this month too, £38 for the year :D

Yeah it's the original and it's a monster. I'm looking to replace it but I have no idea what with. I want something that will look tasteful and vaguely factory (except smaller obviously), and not ridiculously noisy either.

I've got an MCT exhaust on mine, looks relatively stock but obviously not quite so much like you've got a bollard hanging off the side and just gives a nice growl to it without waking the dead.
