What did you do to your bike today?

I have been thinking the same thing! for two weeks now a road near my house and downhill coming to work have been clogged with leaves and its so dangerous I can feel the front end squirming, and..... not a single roadsweep in sight, see them all the time in the summer, what the hell are they sweeping in the sun!

I saw one go down and around the entire road that surrounds the park here, really slowly, without his brushes down :D

One of my neighbors reversed into mine, knocked it clean over. My shiny black fairings iv only had on about three weeks.. left side ruined :( Who even needs to reverse in a space like this!!!!

ALL THAT SPACE!!!!!!! At least she was honest and didn't just drive off..

Guys I have a dilemma. So as some know I'm working towards my DAS from very little biking experience.
I've just found an incredible deal on a 2007 R6 at a price which I'm surprised to have found it at.

Should I buy it and just keep it in the garden until I pass or should I just be patient and search nearer the time?

First question, what's wrong with it?

If the answer to that is nothing and it's what you want and it really is a good deal then go for it.

I bought my SV before I passed and had it sat in the garden for around a month.

A Dremel is perfectly adequate to grind the rivet heads off if you have one.

I did consider picking one up for this and just because it'll come in handy, although it's not looking like it'll get done this weekend the forecast is for it to pee down all weekend :(

Needs doing sooner rather than later though so it may end up being a throw the parts and bike at a garage job and take the hit in the wallet.

I thought something might be wrong with it. But I emailed the seller and they replied

"
Hi , I appreciate your interest . My advert is still valid , the bike runs and drives excellent and has been extremely well maintained with a full service history and all necessary documents available . The only problem is that I am now located in Falmouth (TR11 2EW)."

Well they said they'd deliver it and I would get either a friend or my uncle to ride it around to make sure it's all ok.

Insurance was £526 TPFT which I thought was quite reasonable

This is the rest of the blurb.

"2007 Yamaha Yzf-R6 Supersport, Yamaha , Sports, Petrol, Manual, This is an excellent example of the late model R6..full arrow system..rides beautifully..lots of extra's..well worth a look.., 12 months MOT, HPI clear, FREE MOT tests as long as you own the bike, Credit / Debit cards welcome, We also buy bikes like this...Try us., We can arrange competitive payments on this bike too..., 3 months Warranty, All bikes go through our workshop and MOT bay prior to delivery, Very low mileage, Good tyres, Solo seat cowl and pillion seat, 2 keys, Arrow Full System Exhaust."

I'm going to email the seller for a video of it starting up if possible. Anything else I should ask?

I doubt you'd be able to hear it properly from a video? Best to view it in person and listen to it run, listen for any rattles ect

Have a good look around it for any crash damage

Should be fine if its an 07,its not that old

Why are all the decent prices so far away from the south east.

You can maybe run a HPI check just to make sure no finance or written off

Luckily I have a friend in insurance who can check it for me once I find out the reg number.

I can't just pop down and check it as its about 250 miles away from me :(

Ha I hope so :)

I just have the phrase "if it's too good to be true...."

Hi , Because i`m in Falmouth the entire transaction will be completed trought eBay and PayPal . They will handle everything for both
of us, including transportation and the transfer of the bike papers to your name. You don't have to pay anything extra, the total price that you must
pay for this bike.
Here is how the process works:
I will make a private eBay listing for you.
You will have to click "buy it now",fill in the forms and follow the instructions.
PayPal will send you an invoice with all the transaction details and the payment instructions.
You will have to secure the funds to PayPal. After the funds will be secured to PayPal,the delivery will begin and the bike will arrive to you in
max.48 hours.
When the bike will be in your custody, you will have a 7 days inspection period. If everything is alright, the transaction ends and PayPal will
release the money to me. If there is something wrong with the bike, you will be fully refunded and I'll get my bike back too, without any extra
fees. Everything is covered by PayPal & eBay. I will get paid only after you confirm that you received it.
I would need your ebay username so I can send you the link. I'm waiting for your reply.
Thank you.

Just received that from the seller
