What did you do to your bike today?

eBay handling delivery? That's a new one, but as it's all going through Paypal you've got pretty much the best protection going so it's worth a punt.

Find one closer, unless it's really really cheap. R6's aren't exactly rare, and you can hide any multitude of sins in photos. I'd never buy a bike without actually seeing it first.

Got a link to the advert? Couldn't see any 07 r6's for sale near Falmouth on ebay. We'll be able to you if there's any obviously wrong with it, doesn't hurt to have an extra few eyes to look at it.

I googled the description you gave and while the sites are blocked at work it seems to pop up with the exact wording on a few selling sites with some being up north, might be worth a bit of investigating.

It's a very good deal. I've never seen an R6 of similar spec for a similar price £2750

Which is exactly why you should be wary. The cheapest 07 R6 on auto trader is £4400, and I'm fairly certain ebay or paypal don't deliver motorcycles.

There's been a few cases of sellers popping up on ebay with hundreds of vehicles all about £20% under normal price, every single advert is stolen.

This was where I first found the advert.

pity you cant get down there and look over it,then you'll know for sure

as for delivery they should deliver it and stick it ontop of the bike cost or say delivery included, when I bought mine from London they stated delivery anywhere in the uk and I paid £120 ontop

Hmm. They sent me a link to a private eBay listing. Still doesn't say how many mileage it has but the seller has a fairly decent eBay feedback.

The confusion continues

Personally ide walk away because if it sounds too good to be true it usually is, that & you haven't even passed your test yet, nor can you guarantee to pass it first time, I mean it's not as if R6's are rare so I just don't understand the rush to buy a bike you can't physically lay hands on.

I think I was just tempted because it was so cheap. No rush to pass as the weather isn't great but I can never pass up a bargain. Had my first car 6 months before I could even drive. lol.

Well you pays your money & you takes your choice, but for me it's rank idiocy to pay money for a bike you can't physically touch, start, inspect, & listen to, if the sellers pulling a fast one then your dropping your trousers whilst bending over & handing him a tub of lube, if you decide to pull the trigger let us know how it works out. ;)

Don't ever be tempted by cheap, it almost never works out, especially when you're looking at such a commonly stolen item! Just pay normal price, do all your checks, especially if going private and be careful!

Yeah you're right. I'm probably being hasty and irresponsible. I was happy to wait until the new year before I even considered getting one so I will do just that. I guess the wait will
Make me appreciate it even more.
