What did you do to your bike today?

I'll get Shoei GT Air next year, that helmet is so comfy and light weight. The Shark annoys me in many ways, I can't expect much from a 100 quid lid, can I? :p The other thing is, once when I stopped on a side of a country road with lots of stones, I dropped my helmet from below knee level and it scratch up a little. The drop impact was nothing, its just those little stones that scratch it all up... :(

I might just get the older SV650, not sure yet I still have time to think about next bike and how much to spend on it. What exactly don't you like in the new SV650? I don't like the rear lights.

Yeah, good spot I didn't watch the whole video. But still the bike looks great with all those mods, apart from the 1000RR stickers...

Bell star carbon is my next lid, it's £499 currently but weighs 2 pound

My first helmet was £67, I thought it was good value, until I went over 50mph and it sounds like I'm inside a wind tunnel lol :p

What graphic will you get on your GT Air?

Wanderer TC-5 most likely, Wanderer TC-3 is quite tempting the fluo green is a good safety feature at night, I'll definitely get a H belt.

I wonder when MT-07 will drop, knowing my luck if I bought one, within couple months the value would drop. Although like some of the bikers on here said, bikes don't loose value as quickly as cars do... I made 50 quid profit on my duke after counting up all the money spent on it. Not bad hey? :p

Edit

The funny thing is, I tried even schuberth helmets which are a bit over my budget 500 quid+ for a lid is a bit overkill for the roads. But none of them came close to the snug comfortable fit of the shoei, the other thing is, its Japanese so the quality is not questionable unlike the French shark I've now... my mates AGV was around the same price and the quality is miles better than shark.

Waiting to see if the new Sena helmet is any good, meant to be carbon with noise cancelling stuff in it.

http://www.sena.com/product/noise-control-helmet/

Probably will be crazy expensive though.

Edit: IC3, I have a Shark Speed-R and it isn't bad but nothing compared to my AGV Corsa, with the extra ear area foam pads in the fit is proper race style, feels amazing!

4.1 system inside a helmet, lol... soon you'll look at the spec of the helmet and be like 'this things has dolby surround?! wut?!' :p haha

The Sena is most likely out of my budget, the Shoei is already stretching it a little...

I have the GT-Air in Wanderer TC-5 graphic :)

The black and white compliment my leathers/bike and the red pin stripe around the neck is just a nice touch. Not too much going on to look cluttered/over the top IMO.

The Matte finish however is a nightmare at keeping clean from bug splatter :(

After being ill for the past week and a half I finally felt well enough to get back to changing over my brake lines to the HEL braided hoses. Almost finished although I have bad news.

With the front paddock stand finally arriving I was able to get the front wheel off the ground. There was quite a bit of brake pad rubbing on the disc itself so took them apart to see if anything I could do about it. They all seemed fine but calipers don't pop back into their housing bits. Read through the maintenance part of the manual and the rubber seal should be replaced every 4 years which funnily enough is round about now. Looks like I'll need to get that done although not feeling a caliper re-build just yet.

You might be fine with cleaning the exposed pistons and some red rubbergrease smeared on them, push them back in a few times and wipe any excess off

Skully helmet sure looks good, they've started shipping but absolutely zero reviews on it which is a little fishy.

None of the electronics are interchangeable. Drop the helmet and if the electronics are fine you'll still have to buy a whole new one.

They've taken way too long to manufacture what they first promised, and as a result they've already fallen behind. If they'd put as much effort into manufacturing as they have marketing then perhaps they'd actually have some customers already rather than people waiting a year for their orders.

Nice! Any amateur pics of the helmet? It always looks more realistic when someone takes a pic with their phone, rather than the marketing photoshop bs photos.

BTW I've a matte helmet already, all black and if you don't clean it properly it'll leave stains. So it is a pain in the ****, but its ok. I've to clean my helmet daily anyways due to the amount of bugs on my visor. :D

I've got the GT-AIR Patina TC-1 and can't think of one bad thing to say about it. It's certainly a hell of a lot comfier than the Arai one I used for my CBT.
