What did you do to your bike today?

:p

Here you go :)

Cheers, I'm 99.99% sure what helmet will be next! :D

Well above average. UK average for men is about 5'10" IIRC.
I thought it was around 6ft, oh well... where did you check btw?

Just ordered some iridium plugs my self for my sv650. Did you notice anything?

It only had a quick run out to Halfords half way through to pick up some bits can't say I really noticed much but as they were only about 2 quid more than the normal ones per set I thought I'd give them a go.

Fair enough :) I've put around 4K on my bike since I've had it and didn't change the plugs, but done anything so thought why not. People have said its done x y z and some say done nothing, but they last longer. Either way it's a win win.

I've done over 6k on mine since I got it at the end of June and after looking through the paperwork there's nothing on when it was last serviced apart from the initial ones stamped in the book so I just whipped the lot out so at least I know it's all fresh. It has had an oil and filter change in that time by me as well so I wasn't running it on swamp water :D

Seemed a little perkier on the way to work this morning, most certainly a lot of placebo but the old plugs looked a little worse for wear and the air filter was pretty black so I imagine there's a small degree of actual performance increase.

Next on the list for the new year is fitting braided lines and reconditioned callipers.

Still got a set of new front springs to go in as well and I imagine the fork oil is like dirty water by now.

Also had my first case of leaving my parking lights on this morning, I knew it would happen with the new ignition. Luckily I'd only popped into the shop and not parked up for the day.

I'm only 5ft 5 :/

I didn't get lowering links or a lowered seat on my SFV650 so I am on tip toes if I put both feet down (makes riding with a pillion more interesting!). I will upgrade to a sportsbike eventually but depending on which one, I think I may have to consider getting it lowered, feels a bit like conceding but don't think I'll have much choice.

the weathers horrible today, its that sort of rain/drizzle that drowns you in seconds and stings if you lift up the visor:(

Just checked the weather for my Christmas eve jaunt down the M6 to see the parents, biblical rain and high winds. Glorious.

On the plus side my new visor turned up the other day so I should actually be able to see in the dark and rain without being blinded by headlights bouncing off micro scratches.

Took a chunk out of my 3 week old carbon fibre exhaust, caught it on the edge of a wheelbarrow in the garden :(

I'm 5ft6, also have a SFV650 without any changes on height, I can put both feet down, that is one of the reasons I got this bike, but the seat could be a little bit more comfortable.

I'm on my tip toes on mine and I'm only 5' 8", don't feel like I need to flat foot, not sure why it's necessary?

It's not necessary, it's mainly a confidence thing. I'm 5'10" and I can't flat foot my Tornado as the seat height is silly tall on them (and I fitted a 55 section rear tyre which didn't help). You just need to be prepared to slide off the seat if you need to get your whole foot down.

The only thing I dislike about not being flat footed is walking the bike backwards on a slope, lost my footing once like that, small pebble under the tiny bit of contact I had :(

Nowadays if I'm not sure about the conditions, I'd much rather hop off and walk it backwards, for me it's much more stable.
