What did you do to your bike today?

Coated it in acf-50 to set overnight, fit the new black levers, changed the spacer position of the R&G bungs ready to fit the fairing lowers on Sat and fit the petrol cap cover as bellow:

Datatool alarm/immobiliser.
Powerbronze dark tint double bubble screen.
Daytona heated grips, get much hotter than Oxfords.
30mm bar risers.
Scottoiler, fitter just inside the left hand pillion rack so I don't forget to top it up.
Dark blue leather tank cover.
Rear hugger.
Custom fitted seat with gel insert, basket weave cover and blue piping. Really comfy.
Road legal (honest guv) race can.

How do you find the Scottoiler for flinging stuff everywhere and how often do you need to fill it?

Scottoilers are fab. When I had one on my Hayabusa (years ago), I went from changing chains ever 7k ish to changing them every 30k ish.

If it's flinging it needs turning down. Mine was to start with but not now. You need to be careful when adjusting it though, the slightest adjustment makes a big difference.

I fill it every 3 to 6 months.

Taxed mine Yesterday & will have to get it out give it the once over & the minor service it will need. Had it out on Jan 5th but not since as I've been to wrapped up with my new to me car. Got the urge for some 2 wheel fun yesterday so bike mission is on.

Will let you know, I'm on a Top Secret Mission at the mo so can't say to much but All will be revealed in the next month or so.

The above doesn't relate to bikes or new bikes or owt so don't get excited. :p

Hmm, looks like I'll be ordering one at the end of the month :p

Have you got a single nozzle or twin? I'm also guessing the best way to adjust is to start with it flinging then get it down to not flinging bit by bit?

That's where I've been going wrong with ACF50, I've been rubbing it off, ooer, with a cloth I use for rust.

I like how ACF-50 smokes on hot bits after i've been riding for a bit. I used to find it most amusing sitting at lights in London with the cars nearby giving me strange looks :D.

It's probably given my some toxic fumes too I suppose.

Is there such thing as a bike valeter? My tyre guy said he used to know a chap who cleaned bikes, but he stopped because... I forget.

I'm trying not to use my bike at the moment so I can avoid the expensive 24k service and buy something faster!

You won't forget it, just don't forget to check it.

Single and correct.

Don't forget it adjusts to your riding style as it works on a vacuum. The harder you ride, the more oil will be produced.

If your an insane biker, turn it right down :D

A valet guy comes to BMW in Peterborough in October and will valet your bike and ACF50 the entire thing for £50, I really would like to know who he was though!

He's most likely from the guys at UFO Motorcycles in Huntingdon, I've been told about them before as they do a really good valet/ACF-50 application service.

Are you from around Peterborough?

I'm in Huntingdon, about a mile from UFO infact, he was an independent guy though.

You local?

Think they've expanded though now as they also offer services, although not sure if that's in collaboration with another garage or not.

Yea I'm in Peterborough.

I changed the spark plug on my ybr 125 but it seems to have limited the (already limited) power, it struggled to go above 7000 rpm in fifth where as before it had no problems getting up 9000+, how could the gap on a spark plug affect this?
I've ordered a gap tool to make sure it's correct and the bloke who sold it to me said that NGK plugs are pre-gapped, however the gap is larger than the one I took out.

Other than than, changed the oil and a bulb and made a list of the service history on a spreadsheet, seems well cared for.
