What did you do to your bike today?

nice but seems a lot of money for a 2006?

whats the insurance like on it? maybe concentrate on passing first as theres plenty of bikes around when your ready? upto you but that's what id do

I did think it seemed for quite a bit seeing the mileage too. Insurance is ~£500 TPFT which I would do for the first year then full comp after I get that first year NCB.

Yeah I guess that is the more sensible option. They seem to be popping up quite a bit currently. Lets see how I do on mod 2 in Feb!

im sure you could pick up a later model with less miles on it for similar money, esp if you went private

those insurance quotes aint bad tbf

I guess yeah going private might be better. I was just suckered in by the look of it as it had most of the mods I would've done apart from the levers.

I guess I'll need to wait until I find the 'one'.

That insurance is with MCE which has a huge excess but my friend is with them. I don't plan on crashing and in my 5 years, almost 6, of driving i've never came close to having a claim. Luckily.

I've got one now thanks :p lovely bike though!

congrats!!!

Definitely have a search around and don't rush, but when that 'one' comes up buy it quick! I waited a day and it sold... :(

BTW Those R6's are sexy, I always thought that R6 was sexier than the R1! :D

Yeah I've always loved them since that shape came about. Before that I was a Ninja fanboy. If only because it was the first bike I ever went on the back of when my uncle had one!

This bike has been in my Gumtree favourites for ages. Was dead certain that was the one I wanted but someone put me off of it saying it probably wasn't in good condition and that megaphone exhausts aren't road legal. Bah!

I've never heard a good word about them and what's the point being insured tpft if your excess is a large amount of what the bikes worth might as well just go tp only. The excess they quoted me was basically 50% of what I paid for the bike!

Lucy got away for me once but not the second time.

I spoke to the guy selling it and he said someone had viewed it that day and was going to get them money together over next two weeks.

I then heard nothing for a good few weeks until I got a text asking if I was still interested.

Of course went over had a good look and ride and brought her home :D

I wouldn't put a holding deposit down on anything I hadn't seen unless it was almost too good to be true though.

A mate at work is with MCE and he said never again
someone reversed in to his ZX10R , not a lot of damage, mainly a few scratches here n there and a new mirror. they had his bike 3 months and it was still not sorted.
they ended up giving it back to him, to fix himself and just paid the bill.
Total waste of 3 months

Cause TP is actually more expensive than TPFT (work that one out) and FC is about double the price or quadruple the price from anyone else.

Plus if it did get stolen at least i would be a bit covered.

I use to be a fanboy of the Honda CBR RR Fireblade (Repsol painting) 2002-2005. But ever since I saw the GSXR K8 in white/blue painting, I felt in love. :D

I'll put some pictures up over the weekend, I'll also add a video of it running and you guys can tell me if you think the stock exhaust sounds ok or whether I should change it to some arrow cans/akropovic

That's not even a real question is it? We all know what you're going to do :p
