What did you do to your bike today?

Guy came to look at my bike and said it's a Cat C. In reality all I need is a brake lever and an indicator, which I have on the way. Then insurance company want an MOT done and they are happy for me to be covered again.

I've also found out that the guy involved in the incident hasn't even reported it to his insurance yet! They are sending an investigator round to interview him. This can be a long process as if he ducks and dives for a certain period they will stop bothering him....and just concede blame - which would be nice

Had another very small tankslapper when the front went light when overtaking on the way to work today, this should sort that out!

I got a Toby for my CBR600F4... nice piece of kit, easy to fit, and it does stop the front going light. I primarily wanted it for the track more than road, but if it saves me once, then it's money well spent!

I could have sold you a sprint one for £130 you might have needed the mounts though, they are brilliant at stopping tank slappers

Oooft that is amazing. I can't even begin to imagine the satisfaction you feel every time you lay eyes on it. Top job sir !

Started the CRF250R, starting a 4 stroke is a little different to a 2 stroke! Surprisingly easy to ride though..

Then burnt my arm on the exhaust.

@ i5aces - Nice job, Looks great in Black & Gold.

I'm ill more than I'm not these days so haven't been doing much at all but today I was able to get out & about so went & ordered a 2 handed Sealey Bike stand. The bloke that did my MOT a couple of weeks back used one & it was one of those moments when you get a smack in the face & think why the **** didn't I think of that. Should make working on my bike a million times easier as it effectively gives it a full stand.
Here's a pic of one I've just found on the web.

Real easy to use & means I'll be able to have either the front wheel or the rear completely off the ground. S'pose it'd be pretty easy to make one but I only paid 42 quid all in & for that amount why bother.

It'll be a slog at times but we finalised our route for a May weekend to Wales and back.

We've a novice rider with us, and are heading for the Alps in early June. This is the shakedown trip to make sure everyone - especially the rookie - is prepared. Booked the XR in for a service immediately after Wales so that she's fresh and ready for the Alps three weeks later.

Also started to work out the budget for next year's trip to Nordkapp. Potentially terrifying!

I like to head to rhyl then follow the coast down to barmouth then head back towards teflord,I can never tire of Wales though just beautiful

Serviced the other halves bike (GSX-R600) inc. oil and filter, cleaned lube and adjusted chain. Check all bearings, brake pads, levers for correct adjustment etc etc.

It hadn't been ridden since October and the trickle charger packed up at some point, which left a drained battery. Bought a new charger today and hopefully the battery will hold charge, the battery isn't even a year old, but I remember my Gixer ate batteries so it wouldn't surprise if we had to get another one.

The fairings have a few scuffs and scratches on so we're going through and replacing them all, did the front tank cover, picking up a couple of more bits tomorrow off an ebayer, bike should look A1 by the time it's all installed. All ready for summer! :)

Changed out all my engine bolts for SS ones, along with a few others like brake line holder bolts and my peg hanger bolts and anything else that was M6 or M8 and 20mm :D

Also stripped off my brake pedal and cleaned and greased the pivot point so now it actually moves freely enough to ping back up after I've used it.
