What did you do to your bike today?

Just used a puncture repair kit on my rear tyre. Have to say that was bloody knackering.

Now to wait and see if it works. I shall go for a test ride after rush hour.

Took my right hand switchgear apart and there's a wire flailing about... that'll be why my lights don't work! Soldering iron purchase tomorrow i think.

Haha once its fixed, modified and not looking so ***** it will be going back on.
I want to get rid of the 4 bolt fitment and turn it into a slip on, the can is titanium but the 4 bolt bit is steel and then the 4 bolt link pipe is heavy as hell to so I think its actually heavier than the SS Yoshi!
I miss the racey sound of the quill already...

Rust took it's toll on some of the chrome exhaust cover and it's hanging off, £50 for a replacement :( Think i'm going to cut off the brackets for the covers, level it out and spray it. In my head it looks better.

Gave the chain and bike a good clean and some ACF 50 and autosol, battery charged.

Sprayed headlight surround black so that it matches the newly powdercoated top yoke and radiator guard (originals were silver)

New mirrors also fitted recently (to replace the huge standard chrome ones)

Took my rear wheel off, cleaned the chain thoroughly, replaced rear pads (the same advisory 2 years in a row, I thought 3 would be taking the ****) and cleaned everything, spotless back there now!

Also put the clear screen back on

Spent until 3 am getting angry:mad:

The datatool S3 alarm on my CBR600 F kept randomly going off. Would blip, then blip again and then go off for about 20 seconds then stop then struggle to blip. Battery is all good I guess as I was out on it yesterday and it started first time. Did jet wash the bike so wondering if water has affected the switch for the seat or if water has affected the new Oxford Hotgrips?

Any ideas are welcome and please don't say 'bin the alarm' as it would void my insurance and I don't want them to have more of pennies lol

When I was looking for a new bike recently, I found one with that alarm on it so I did some research and found out it's a pain in the arse and not worth the hassle. I've seen YouTube videos of people smashing the **** out of their's when it had been removed :D

I'd put it down to the jet wash myself as using one on any bike other than a trial bike is Madness I tells ye. :p
I'd get the seat off & side covers & get me hair dryer out.

I mean my missus hair dryer obviously. :D

I am starting to think it was not my bike going off last night! Checked it this morning and it is fine, not one blip all day. Must have been a car out the back.

Might have to change the alarm tone to one that does not sound like every other alarm lol but will check again this evening.

Oh now I am happy! The alarm issue is not my bike. Twas a Mercedes on the other side of the Cul-de-sac:D

But if I were having alarm issues I would not employ a dwarf, why? Because that would mean either paying the dwarf with petrol or beer monies...lol
