What did you do to your bike today?

Same on mine too, 1 bolt that's all. The gear selector shaft goes through the front sprocket cover.

I just finished planning out my 2 day mini euro trip, just need to wait for a weekend in May when it's warm...:p

620 miles over 2 days, into Belgium and Luxembourg and within spitting distance of Germany for a good few miles, with some roads like this

Just need to buy a couple of Kriega US20's and I'm set. £50 ish in fuel, 5 euros in tolls on the way back, £30 eurotunnel return and £10 for camping, plus money for food.

You don't have to on mine but it makes removing the cover a hell of a lot easier, I only discovered this after wrestling the cover off with lots of swearing the first time :o

Spanked her around Anglesey (yesterday)... what an amazing track. It was even worth the 7hrs in a van to get there! just stunning.

Nice one edd1e. One track I've never been that keen on going to because of the weather (and distance). Looks like you had a good work out there

I was a little worried too, it's a long way for us (4.5hrs with no traffic... or 7hrs in our case.. Birmingham!) but we hit the jackpot, stunning sunshine all day.

As a track it's now easily the best one in the UK I have done. It has a mix or everything and is not flat like a lot of UK tracks. You can also walk around the entire track and you're very close to the action. There is the Sea all around it, it's like a mini Philip Island.

We will be going back for sure :)

If you're planning a similar trip in late June or any weekend in July I'd be glad to come along. I need experience of hauling the camping gear around ahead of longer trips planned for 2017.

I've actually got a longer (4-5 day) trip planned for June/July, depending when I do this 2 day trip, want to leave a few weeks in between - a nice easy one mileage wise (900 miles over 4 days riding - 280/150/200 and 260 miles each day from/to Calais) I'll probably do it over 5 days and stop an extra day somewhere along the way to relax/do touristy stuff/ride out off-route, that's across into Belgium via the Ardennes, then through Luxembourg, hitting the Moselle valley all the way to Koblenz, then turning homeward via the nurburgring, Eifel mountains, Spa, and then a blast along the motorway back to Calais.

I should be going to the meet up in May if you're there :)

This 2 day trip is a 'dry run' if you like for Europe - I've never ridden in Europe before so riding on the wrong side should be fun :D Camping is all sorted, my 3 days down into Devon end of last year got me sorted for that!

I'm doing a weekend in Wales 7-8 May and then 7 days to the Alps from 4 to 11 June. After that I'm free until the first week of August, and still have a few days holiday to burn. Sounds like it might be possible. I've done those routes before, with the exception of Luxembourg - lovely roads.

Kind of annoyed that the centre of the tyre isn't as hard as i assumed. PR4s have a harder compound in the centre, as do quite a few others. But this is my rear after almost 4K miles of commuting. The A1 is the reason why.

Thank God for Kawasaki's then

Id take removing a simple gear linkage over ever working on a kawasaki, hated every one I have worked on :p
Maybe your old one is simple but anything 06 onwards is a complete pain in the backside!

On the flip side the front sprocket cover is about the easiest thing to remove on a ZX6R lol.

I'll check mine tonight, they must have been on for at least 2-3k miles now with 200 miles of commuting a week.

I'll have to report back about my Angels after Scotland this year (fair bit of motorway going up and coming back). Not done that many miles so far, so they're still nice & round and no chicken strips :D
