What did you do to your bike today?

Washed it, cleaned out some of the gunk in the front sprocket cover (I swear there's a market for that stuff as adhesive...) cleaned and re-lubed the chain, went to adjust the chain but realised it doesn't need adjusting.

Just looked at the miles and I'm on 56,416km, that's just over 35k miles now. I've done 14,710 miles since buying in at Xmas 2014, that's roughly 13-14k on the current chain and sprockets.

Just found a local mobile bike mechanic that will pick up MOT and drop off my YBR for £35, that's a bargain to save me the pain of having to ride the gutless thing!

found a huge screw in my rear tyre right in the centre of it:eek: that's besides the piece of wire on the edge of the tyre but I don't think that's gone right through, nearest they can fit me in for repair is Friday

so im having to blow it up before I go anywhere,im sure my pirelli's are magnetic

its too clean....it makes me want to lick it :o

I find removing all that gunge oddly satisfying. It's a mucky job but I like it :p

I'm the same, love it when something full of crud comes up like new. I had similar when I took rear wheel off and chain last year. There was years of build up on the inside of the swingarms (16 years worth!)... and I scrapped it all off, oil, road mulch... everything... took about an hour to clean it all up perfectly, but was weirdly satifiying.

My mate had this happen during Scotland road trip last year... how the hell can a bolt this big, he was so unlucky the angle he must've hit... this was on his Diavel.. I'll get a picture of it in a bit, honestly you wouldn't believe the size of this thing!

 jesus,i think Frankenstein has lost one of his bolts !!

Got home and thought I'd go for a 30 minute blast around the local area - nice and dry but a little cold. Managed to scrub off another 1/4 inch off the chicken strips, and there isn't much left now.

The engine is starting to sound a little rough now at low revs, so I've booked it in for a service in a couple of weeks time - it just needs to get through 750 miles to Wales and back next weekend.

It's been a long time coming but I got hold of some official Rizoma mirror adaptors to fit my knock off Rizoma Tomok mirrors so I might actually get round to putting them on this weekend now I don't have to mess around taking off the screen and dash surround.

Also got some Brembo pads for the front, heard good things and they're cheap if you buy from Italy so going to see if I notice any difference to the EBC HH that are in there now.
