What did you do to your bike today?

Compared the o ring on my current oil cap and the stock one. The pro bolt one is massively too small so I've swapped them over and as soon as I tightened it I could actually feel the o ring making contact so that should fix that issue.

My Chinese exhaust arrived as well although I need some different springs my scorpion ones are too long and the provided ones were too short with no real stretch to reach. So I've ordered some more from eBay.

On the plus side started the bike up just with the can sat on the link pipe and  it's going to be monstrous actually running.

Might nip to Halfords tomorrow and pick up some metal cable ties do I can fashion something to tide me over till the springs arrive.

Replaced all the headlight bulbs.

Osram Nightbreaker low and high
Osram Cool Blue Intense side/position

They're all the same colour temperature which is between 4000k and 4500k which is nice and white, not the blue side or the yellow side, just a nice white. So much brighter than OEM. Why do they insist putting **** bulbs in at the factory. I know things are down to cost, but we're talking £20..

Got the topbox plate fitted and went on a 200 mile roundtrip in the pouring rain!
Loved it, the 1200 triple just keeps growing on me!
Paull

On another note, I have an Anakee3 rear and an Anakee 2 front. Although only one generation apart the tread is vastly different. It felt ok to me today but I've only really begun riding again last week after a break. Will the differing patterns lead to less predictability or should they be ok together?

Dumb question, do I need to re-grease the rear wheel shaft when putting the wheel back on? I cleaned it up a bit as I had to store it with some tools.

It's cloudy outside in Baldock, has been most of the day :p
My met office app (that i use every morning) has forecast of rain from 16:00.

It was sunny when we went, should have came. There was a Tuono V4 with GPR stubby, that thing sounded mental. :D

Copper grease is designed to stop things seizing, not for lubricating moving parts, your wheel bearings move along the axle, and you wont want copper grease in those, just use normal grease.

Went a bit bodged with the fittings just to give it a test before my new exhaust springs turn up.
About to go and scare all the local wildlife.

Babies asleep in the house so I've not given any real beans but just starting it up and a little blip and it's rather throaty :D
