What did you do to your bike today?

I used to recommend PistonHeads, but they've started charging for ads now :(

I used eBay to sell the DRZ. Costs over £10 a time, but you get great exposure. Had over 24 watchers and 200 views in the first 48 hours on that. Sold it by the 3rd day, for more than I paid for it :D

Ah......I didn't realise they were charging now. In that case I'd agree on eBay being great for coverage and exposure. You do however get the odd muppet now and again but overall anyone I've known recently who has sold a bike on the bay has had a stress free experience.

I sold a GS500 for £500 on eBay. The guy came along, we chatted, he happily rode the bike away and then 5 weeks later leaves me negative feedback saying that he wasn't happy with the bike.

Obviously expected a brand new bike for that sort of money....

Took a nice long run out today in the hot weather, New boots & helmet seem fine, Well happy with the helmet & the higher length boots feel better than the ones I had before. Still think I'm going to get my 200 quid out & get a pair of SIDI though, Just need to find a shop that stocks a size 14 so I can make sure they fit.

Anybody know of any other decent make boots that go up to a 14/14.5 ?

I gave the chain a clean with some SDOC 100 Chain Cleaner, highly recommend it as I've never seen a chain this clean, and then installed a Tutoro Auto Chain oiler.

Going to pop out and test the oiler in a mo once my dinner settles.

Checked tyre pressures and found this rather large nail :(

I'm in a similar boat. Found this last week...

The tyre is around 7k miles old, so I'm thinking to replace it.

Although... how easy are simple repair kits?

finally fitted my Dynojet kit/K&N, just finished
just off for a ride round the block to check its running ok before going further a field

update
bike running fine no problems
as to how it feels, its pulling harder between 3000-5000rpm that for sure
need a longer test to see how much better elsewhere.

update on the update :D
the bike is running so much better with the Dynojet kit on
as said its picking up harder between 3-5k and is running a lot smoother.
is also snappier on the throttle so all in all worth the time n money to fit

Went out for a couple of hours, Went on a reverse trip of Dans Wyvern route, A5 - Lutterworth - Market Harborough - Melton Mowbray - Leicester - M69 Drag strip - Home. Nice route from mine up to Melton then onto the A6 to Leicester but once in Leicester the only buzz was passing all the traffic. :p

Back in to chill with Frank for a bit watch the Moto GP then off out & about again, Prob up the triple 4 & off out that way.

Ordered some bits for my track bike, new charger for the tacho and new rubber mounts.
Only need to get a new clutch now.
And new tires.
And service it.
Oh and get the brake disks sorted.

I just want to do a track day

On the way to Milton Keynes the red mist descended upon me and I did a stupid overtake of a car that had annoyed me. I am fortunate enough, but only just, to be in a state where I can tell you this on these forums.

****tard tbh. Fortunate one though.
