What did you do to your bike today?

Nice! love it.

A trackbike is on the cards next for me I hope. Although I need to get a car that can tow and a trailer first! ...where is that money tree.

If you find that money tree, send me a PM.

I have a 99zx6r which i use for commuting and track days, I look a complete ponce going round with the rental rack on the back though :( I should take the bigger bike but want to trade that in soon for a rc8 or s1000, dont want to risk the kitty litter just yet, quite new to trackdays really and still learning, but as usual wish i spent my money on it when i was younger instead of ****ing it up the wall :D

A444 has a Speed Camera Van on it. Joe Public was good enough to warn me though & I did the same for anybody else going that way. :D

Had a good ride out but I'm definitely not getting it down as low on left handers. Must try harder. :p

Just throw your body over to the left haha. I was the same, confident with rights after many roundabouts. But I had to trick my self into throwing my self over on lefties.

You will get it soon.

Took a nice long run out today in the hot weather, New boots & helmet seem fine, Well happy with the helmet & the higher length boots feel better than the ones I had before. Still think I'm going to get my 200 quid out & get a pair of SIDI though, Just need to find a shop that stocks a size 14 so I can make sure they fit.

Anybody know of any other decent make boots that go up to a 14/14.5 ?

I would be very careful with the Sidi's as I am a size ten and even struggled with size 13's. Very narrow and a bitch to get my trotters into. I ended up just leaving them for the odd short ride out as they crippled me for rides longer than a hundred miles or so. Bought some Richa boots for everyday use and they are excellent.

Also, just bought some gsxr600 4 pot calipers for my 750 srad so I can get rid of the annoying 6 pots. I refurbed them a couple of years ago and they are seizing again. Bought a set off the bay for 50 quid that look in good nick. Just get some decent pads and I will fit them next weekend.

You confirmed what I thought fullspizz which is why I wanted to find a pair in my size in a shop I could try first, doubt they will fit though from looking at how rigid they are & what you've just said, My search continues, Prob end up going down the cut & getting a canal barge builder to knock me up a set. :p

Had a lovely run out this morning, roads are fairly empty & the temp is about perfect with just enough wind to keep you cool.
I do Love my VFR but I also miss my Chopper & reckon I am going to end up getting a nice old skool Chopper sooner or later.

Rode it! Stalled it took baffles out akrapovics & R1 :) lots of folks turn around half a Mile down the road to see what on earth is making that noise.

Makes me smile.

Glorious

Fitted a 17 toothed front sprocket to gear my bike up a little. It's only a 5 speed gearbox, 70 mph was at 5000rpm and it was a little buzzy, most on the ZR7 forum recommend it as it drops it to 4000rpm making it smoother on a run.

Fitted new tire, chain and sprockets. Went out and came off. Was going along side a queeu stopped traffic when one car pulled out infront of me. Apparently did a somersault. Sounds cool. Anyway, I got off lucky but I haven't seen the bike yet.

.one. I can see the many, many hours that have gone into that, beautiful job! As a relative oldy I can remember really wanting a GS550 when I had a Honda 250 SuperSlug, but being too skint to buy and insure one. I'm still going to get myself a, 1100 Katana at some point though.

Wepohn, sorry to hear about your accident, hope the wrist heals quickly (I broke mine when I was 20 on my bike, and still have scars from it). Were the police involved?

Being an oldie that takes me back, I had a Kawasaki Z550LTD back in the 80s, blew the motor coming back from the 87 Kent Custom Bike Show, it was agony limping down the M1 with the gf + camping gear on the back, getting slower & slower listening to this god awful knocking from the bottom end, how on earth we made it back to Nottingham with out it throwing a rod i'll never know, ahhhh happy days... :p

You've done a cracking job there .one., I doff my cap to you fella. :D

just wrote off my bike by having an old lady decide that she was going to turn off right with no indication just as i was over taking her.

then when the other people who came to see what happened tried to help she tried to give her RAC break down cover to me as her insurance details :/

bike be ****ed i seem reasonably ok, the hedge cushioned the impact, left arm is looking a bit funky where it hit the fence though.

without sounding like a complete ****. I dont think its really wise to do an overtake near any junctions for this exact reason... To many idiots on the road who change their minds last minute or panic when the sat nav shouts at them

Lol at RAC

Glad you're mostly okay dude

*** please fully star out swear words in future - thanks **
