What did you do to your bike today?

I've spend the past 3 months waiting to do my test and during that time looking at MT07/MT09 in depth.... You do not need £6000!

I can direct you to 3 MT07's well under £4k

Wolverhampton - £4k 3600 miles 14 plate, full extras
Cambridge - £3600 4400 miles, no exhast
Reading - £3750 15000 miles, very well looked after, absolute brim full of kit.

Do not spend over £4000 on an MT07! Absolutely not worth it, will lose a fortune otherwise!

Yeah I wouldn't go for that much on an MT07, not settled on them either still open to options but still a very good contender.

Are there many bikes out there with traction control in terms of rear wheel slip? I know the new MT07/MT09 has, not sure if the older ones do or if there are any others to consider with my budget of £6000 in mind?

You don't need traction control on the lower performance bikes.

Fair enough, wasn't sure if it was becoming more of a standard feature in recent years.

Where did you see these, out of interest, I'm not seeing many on ebay for less than 4500?

Currently got MT07/09 and XJ6 Diversion Fs on the shortlist.

I ninja joined the MT07 owners group on facebook, when I saw guys looking to part x I dropped them a message. Also posted on there sasying cash ready for a quick cheap sale.

I can send you the guys numbers if you want.

£6k gets a choice of a lot of bikes. If you're gonna be commuting and/or doing lont trips then you might want to look at a faired bike (sport tourer) or an adventure style. Something like a KTM 990 SMT, which is a naked with a proper screen/small fairing.

I bought a 990 SM-T for commuting last year, great bike, perhaps a little too aggressive, and has some caveats. I'll state hand-on-heart that my S1000RR is a more relaxed, controlled ride.

If the SMT is on the shortlist, let me know if you want more info.

-Cleaned the chain and lubed it
-New indicators on the rear (LED Strips :D)
-Gave the bike a quick rinse down
-Checked tyre pressures
-Added 2 new gopro mounts at the front of the bike.
