What did you do to your bike today?

Damn, didn't know of this! I went out earlier after trying to stay in all weekend. Damn hot so I bought some lovely petrol and ran home as fast as my wheels would almost-legally carry me.

Are they chicken strips though? the pic looks like they are rippled from being ragged on track...

Either hes done a TD and then a few road miles since and been bolt upright or hes bought part worn scrubs. I sell mine on too, youd be surprised how many people want them.

i washed it

I really should do it more, it looked fantastic when done (CBR-RR 08 Blade, original Guinness colours)

Over the weekend I replaced the front fork dust seals, got a small tank bag + garmin nuvi30 gps and then rode back from Shevington to Mirfield. So happy with gps, would like a proper bracket but was going for cheapest option, just want a on bike charger now so I don't have to worry about battery.
New fairing bolts on way soon as a previous owner/mechanic didn't put them all back on at some point

New chain on today after I found a mega tight spot. If anyone collects TT bits and is interested in a chain thats done a 120+ mph lap give me a buzz. Was only fitted before TT so clean enough, just fked from all the jumps :p

Had to plug my back tire today with one of those strips of what blatantly resembled a thin turd.... took a bit of effort but think i got it, nice bit of kit to carry around too!

Some cheeky "something" helped himself to a sit on my bike and a blatant push around after I came back to it with the bars straight and my rear wheel not with the punctured area facing back (so it had been moved) and my mirrors rotated all the way around.... left it without steering lock on the car park near my house as the driveway isn't level....

I used to buy part warns all the time, I am no racer so aslong as the sides weren't too worn I could get a few TD's out of them :p
But yea on the road you can usually tell who has bought part worn's because 3/4 of the tyre goes blue as they cant corner :D

Oh and I rode mine today.... in draggin jeans, felt so vulnerable :p really need to buy some Dainese trousers to go with my jacket as I cant actually get out of my 1 piece by the time I get to work in this heat.

My bike is poorly, went to start it on Saturday and after putting the keys in and turning it on---------nothing from the starter:(
Left the keys in and after 30 secs the bloody alarm came on. Have worked out that it is ****ed and the engine is permanently immobilised. Spoke to a bike electrician who is coming out to remove the sodding thing a week Thursday due to him being so busy:( Anyway, whilst it's out of action, my 4 pot calipers have arrived along with new pads, so they will be fitted along with a full service, then book it in for it's MOT. Just had a look and I have done the grand total of-------------------831 miles since it's last one.
Really need to use it more, but seeing as it only costs £200 a year to tax and insure it doesn't bother me that much:cool:

They are pretty good, mine are some of the original ones though they must be 5 years now or older?!
So they dont have any inserts of armour etc, just kelvar lining up top and for the knees.
They kept me nice and cool though and I dont doubt they will protect me from road rash, its the impact that worries me with wearing jeans :p

Oh and on long runs the kevlar used to make my arse itch, but I think they have stopped that with the newer ones as they cover over the kevlar.

finally got some new tires!! after much deliberation i went with the diablo rosso ii got an absolute steal £200 fitted for both! all i can say is wow! didnt want to get off the bike today did 200miles on them and the grip is unbelievable 100x more than the old crappy bt021 and they have refilled my confidence no end!. Granted they are sports tires not touring ones but i only do about 3000-4000 miles a year and a new rear a year is alright by me especially with the grip you get from these

*Tires :p

Its great how a new set of tyres can change a bike completely.
I think you have the same exhaust as my brother, they sound brilliant on the ER-6 :D
