What did you do to your bike today?

Moved the position of my chain oiler reservoir as I've never been happy with it since I installed it. I think I'll be happier now, well for a while at least.

Cleaned the ZZR600 and removed the Scottoiler.

Cleaned the ZX6R, fitted the Scottoiler from the ZZR, replaced the Scorpion straight through can with a standard can, adjusted the suspension to suit me and polished and waxed her ready for riding :)

started to play with suspension settings, sofetned her up a bit, then she was too soft, so put a bit back on. then found she was ****ing coolant so here i am researching fixes. well, not right now, i'm posting on here right now. but meh, you know what i mean.

Fitted a Yoshimura RS2 full system on my DRZ and removed the PAIR valve. Thankfully the Avon's it came with are nearly done, so my next job will be fitting some Goldspeeds or Michelin Pilot Powers.. or possibly distanzias.. Can't make up my mind :p
My current set on an R30 are ContiAttack SM's: I'm really liking them in the wet or dry. The rear should be good for about 4k miles and perhaps more looking at the wear of the center tyre text and micro tread. I could eat a ContiForce SM rear in 1.5

So just to throw a spanner in the works, there's another set worth adding to your list.

I often get my SM tyres from germany: www.moto-tyres.co.uk pretty good price, free postage, come by air and DPD so takes about 3-4 days to get to my door.

Cheers for that spanner! That's the prob with SM's, wide choice of use and not knowing what to stick to. I've got enduro rims for off roading so I guess I'll leave the distanzias alone. I use it for commuting so need something to cope with damp/cold weather too (altho not a prob right now!*)

Not seen that site before though, nice one

*Left hand heated grip failed (Oxford Sportsgrip) so I've been out stripping it down and removing it all to send back for repair. Not as if I need them right now.

Very nice!!

Fitted a few bits to mine today, got some second hand but brilliant condition Galfers, and new chain and sprockets, -1 and +1 and +2 links on the chain to extend the wheelbase, oh and some SBS road pads rather than the carbon race ones on there previously, front end feels great now! :D

Noice

Went up to a friends workshop yesterday to attack the lathe with the marchesini spec's for the blade :)

Stripped..

Spacers made for both axles on both sides (captive so they don't fall out during wheel changes) and also needed ones for sprocket, front discs and rear disc carrier like this;

Big effort but all done and rebuilt now yipee

Tyres tomorrow!

Took it to The Bomber Shoot @ Newark Air Museum yesterday :D

Had a pretty awesome weekend, rode down to Cornwall on Saturday and had a ride around with the old man for the day, pretty much perfect weather for it. Went out Sunday and melted in my leathers as it was so hot, should have gone out a bit later in the day with less traffic so I could have some fun I guess!

Finally got round to getting the thing MOT'd. It run out a couple of weeks ago. Sailed through. Not surprising given how little miles its covered since its last one.

I like how the new MOTs show the mileage history over the last 3 years. It really does highlight I should be using the thing more!

Last 12 months - 490 miles
Year before that - 1200 miles
Year before that - 1300 miles

Lol Kidloco you really do need to get out and ride more! :D

Have done around 5.5k since November and 80% of that is pleasure riding.
