What did you do to your bike today?

I got it 2nd hand off my Ma as she is giving up her allotment, I've seen quite a few on Gumtree but you have to be quick & be able to go dismantle etc
£150 should get you a decent one but bare in mind the cost of building a base/Screws/roof felt.

And there was me thinking I was in a bidding war with you all this time.. I best not tell you what I paid for it then :p

How much so I can cry?? :D
I didn't see this one but I have been bidding on all the ones previously, but I am refusing to pay over £300 lol

I find the oil change procedure fairly straightforward on the RSV, but then again I've been doing it for years and its a Gen 1 Mille I own. Getting the level correct is a bit of a fiddle initially but after the fresh oil level is correct its just a case of keeping it topped up so it reads approx 1/3-1/2 way up the sight tube between the marks.

Getting the oil level correct is just a bit of a faff, far more complicated than most bikes but still not difficult. The main gripe I have is the removal of all the fairings and exhaust to do it!

balanced my carbs today, they were well out.
got one of those morgan carbtune, very easy to use
just off out to see how it feels now

update
just back after a 70 odd mile ride and the bikes running great
a ruff patch at 5000rpm is gone and its smooth all the way though the rev range now

Funnily enough I've carried the same ethos. Refused to pay over £300. Stupidly got carried away a few weeks back, but was outbid. This one came up Friday night, BIN of £305, I still clicked on best offer though, got it for £280. Immaculate condition not a mark on it! :)

Heads up.. Pick up this months Perfomance Bikes K5/6 special, "K5 - still the benchmark 1000"

Lucky!! Hopefully I will get my own lucky deal soon, been watching them for a year now haha.
Post up some pics and a video when it's fitted please!

I have seen some people talking about it on other forums, I will have to have a read, K5 is definitely the best for the money :D

Since it's got a concrete/paving foundation as such, i would suggest a ground anchor to improve security.

May do one in the future but for now it has an Alarm on board an Alarm Disc lock & a Oxford cable lock on the front & back wheels. On top of that they have to get it out the shed & down the jitty at the side of my house where I will be waiting with a Big Hammer. :D

Also anybody thinking about a shed should go for a 10x6, mine is 8x6 & although my bike fits I'd have preferred to have had the extra room.
I'm not moaning though, It's in there out the weather & there's a bit of room for me to do a bit of fettling.

Good as new

Got my Rear Tyre replaced as i rode over a nail and the Tyre was not worth saving.

First time working on a Sports Bike (R6 2002) and being Lazy I didn't take the rear brake apart properly and just tried to squeeze the disk in between both pads, but being stupid I squeezed both pads together and the disk was between the back of one pad and the brake caliper. Went for a 10 minute ride....and the disc was rubbing. Got back home and realised my mistake....and I fixed it....needless to say i deffo cut the back discs life in half.

Need to replace it when I am back from my Travels...DOH! It still works fine and brakes fine

Bike related, just finished editing clips from a recent trip to France.

Nice video, I like what you did with the colours, and the soundtrack just seems perfect for it.

I would edit out the number plate on the closing "Vive La France" clip....in case the old bill come browsing...what with those "slightly" high speedo readings, obviously need calibrating :D
