What did you do to your bike today?

I started the RSV up, brought it up to operating temp and let it idle for a bit. Then switched it off and put it back to bed.

Bog off Autumn/Winter........roll on Summer!!!! :D

Changed the oil, filter, plugs, air filter. Removed the wing rack and gave it a quick wipe down :)

Just got it back from the garage.

The bars were a bit bent and tattered, the exhaust was in poor shape and had started rotting through at the bottom of the down pipe so both were replaced with Renthal handlebars and a Leo Vince exhaust. Also the valve clearances, rear wheel bearings, swingarm bearings along with chain sprocket and carrier bearings are all new too.

Runs and sounds much better and looks nicer too! Good price as well (Braeside motors) :)

I dropped a bike on a test ride. Ran out of talent ended up on the grass & just as it was coming to a stop it just slid sideways under me, Was with a mate as well who saw it all. I pulled the clods of grass out of it went for my test ride & took it back with no damage luckily. Next time I dropped one it was turning around in a road at walking pace, front wheel got caught in the gutter & just spat me off, This time nobody I saw saw me.
I'm just glad I did my dropping before I got a decent bike.

Got my shed alarm Saturday so I'll be fitting it today, Shed sensor Alarm, 2 Oxford locks, Alarmed Disc lock, Bike alarm/immobiliser & steering lock, Once you get past all that you then have to get it out the shed & down the jitty down side of my house. Overkill ???

Never overkill, its surprising what they will go through to get a bike if they want it bad enough

Bought my first one!
Little Yamaha YZF-R125 to get a few miles under my belt for 6 months or so and then get my full A license.

picked up a puncture on the way back from Cheltenham on the M5 last night :( managed to get it patched for £15. Saves a nearly new tyre from going to the scrap pile!

Get some pictures into the 'show us your bike ' thread :p
It was a toss-up between the YZF and a CBR when I was looking at bikes a few months ago. Went for the CBR :p

Scratched the plastic on my mirror when i put it on the side stand near a wall at work :(
Not all that bad to be honest. Any way to "touch up" or "rub out" a scratch on the back plastic of a mirror?

Going to need a massive cleaning session on mine this weekend, I have never owned a bike that's been as filthy as my RSV currently is :(

I'll get a picture up once I manage to get it out properly and get a decent photo opp.

Anyway, crappy picture from the dealer below but picked it up today and had a good hour and a half ride. Wrists are a little sore but just need to get used to it and release my vulcan death grip! Anyone know any good ways to exercise your wrists...?

I plan on giving mine a complete winter 'fairing and side panels off' thorough clean over the winter as well as an oil, filter and other fluids change. Out with the toothbrush methinks!! :D

Ordered a new Kappa Garda 52l top box as my existing Givi 45 litre is too small for all my gear. £185:eek::(

Gave it a good wash and then coated it in ACF50. I used an electric paint sprayer to put a fine mist over the bike, avoiding the brakes like the plague of course. Worked well, better than the spray can.

It smells really nice.

Doesn't smell quite so nice when you're sat at traffic lights and the ACF50 is burning off your exhaust :D

ooo that's sounds like a good idea. What paint sprayer did you use? Did it clip on to the can?

Also, with ACF50, is it alright if you get it all over the fairing?

I used something like this, which I bought from Lidl for £15 a few months back, and bought this ACF50 in liquid form.

I almost bought an air compressor, and paint spraying tools, which would have cost me well over £100 even though I could have used it for super fast tyre blowing up as well.

As for getting it on the fairing, it won't hurt it though it does have a sheen over it when done of course. I removed what little fairing my bike has so I could ACF50 the frame under that as well.

Legendary idea.

Sold it, only had the ZX9ra few months but to fast to small. Hope the new owner has lots of fun on it.

He left a £100 deposit but said will take 2 weeks to fet the rest together. Hope I don't get messed about.

Looks like I need a new battery, rode it to work last week. Left it parked over the weekend came to start it this morning and the battery was almost flat. Guess it's 4 coming on 5 years old now so its not too bad.
