What did you do to your bike today?

This year wasn't the best imo, no live show, no parking discount :D

Sure the selection of bikes was still there but theres not much new out, plus there wasn't a massive amount of bargains to be had, still I go every year and will continue to do so :D

I will be going on the Sunday, I will be shopping for all touring kit haha. Boots, gloves, jacket and trousers. Possibly a new lid! All my kit is 4+ years old and heavily worn out. My boots have holes in them! They have been through a few offs though haha.

simply rode my bike, but to my helmet, this morning i fitted a HD camcorder. Terrible battery so hopefully I can get a better one from ebay. Very good quality though

Well this morning I didn't do anything to my bike as such, but apparently some person decided he wanted to be mounted on the front of it and use it as a launching platform to hit the floor at 20mph...

Got off bike he told me he was fine and refused to take any of my details then he tapped me on the shoulder and ran off. Christ.

Left it in the garage....... Because I ******* binned it yesterday :( !!! **&&%^%$&£$&£$^£$%£$%£$

No idea what happened really, following a line of traffic out of Winchester so doing what 10-15mph, rounding a slight downhill left hander and I feel the bike sliding away from me... so naturally the brain craps itself and shut off the throttle, grips and throws itself over the other side :D
Crash bung did its job, bent rear brake lever, bit of a scuff on the exhause, but worst of all, somehow she managed to snap the clock brace, which on the GSXR is the whole front end brace lol, so I managed to ride most of the way home holding the front end together!
Could be more damage but it was dark and I was too annoyed to look at it any longer.
Oh and to top it all off the battery died so once I had put the front end back together went to start her and chug chug chug....dead...
So any rider who has been in this situation knows the rage I am feeling now, I was quite ready to leave the bike there and go get the train lol.
Calmed myself down, pushed the bike uphill to a side road with a bit of a downhill and managed to bump start it :D

Incidents like this really annoy me, fairly dry roads, warmish most of the day (9c), not riding like an idiot and end up crashing, when I have ridden in horrendous rains, even snow with no problem :/

Ordered a new clock brace on eBay last night so should hopefully be back on the road sometime next week.

replaced the back tyre, picked up a nail in the centre tread with only about 500 miles left in it so time for a new one. Was a pirelli diablo rosso corsa and got it up to 6600 miles which seems pretty good for such a grippy tyre :o either that or I don't ride it hard enough.

Unlucky dude, sorry to hear.

Agree on the circumstances, so much more annoying when it happens in good riding conditions.

V lucky fella, the last person on here to hit a pedestrian wound up doing jail time because it didn't end well for said pedestrian.

Jail time?! He must have been going rather quickly I guess?

On a more on topic note, just fitted a Double Bubble to my R125. Took it for a spin and cant say I noticed any difference on wind protection. Hey ho.

Hand it over to the insurance man, as someone decided not to stop and run into the back of me. QQ

Wasn't a young woman from Basingstoke in a silver 1.2L Vauxhall Corsa by any chance, was it?

Must really be the season for such stupidity - I just had the exact same thing happen to me on the 19th!!
I now have to ride this flippin' Bandit 1250 thing around until they can sort my grown-up bike out

Sorry to hear that mate, chin up. Happens to all of us.

Seeing as I had a half day off work today I had my first ride out on the new beast. Only managed about 30 miles as the roads were lethal and it was freezing cold.

I popped into H-Cafe to warm up... 1 of only 2 bikes there unsurprisingly.
