What do you think of the 4070Ti?

The only surprising part of the reviews is how close the 7900 XT is in most RT scenarios without upscaling (which probably reflects poorly on the Ti rather than well on the XT), outside a couple of games they're fairly close without upscaling.
 
So what`s the alternative ? A 3080 at 900 quid (OcUK) or maybe a 3080ti at over 1000 quid (OcUK). Maybe treat yourself to a 3090 at 1300 quid (from OcUK)? Now you tell me why Nvidia should cut their 40 series prices ?

And dont for a minute think the `peoples champion`(sic) AMD get away with this with a 7900XT at 900 quid or a questionable 7900XTX at 1200 quid. Thats how stupid this has all become !

You pays your money and you take a big bite out of a s ... sandwich.

Yep - they are almost effectively tied in RT, and the XT is often faster in rasterisation. The XT is actually very competitive. If it were £799 it would be even better.

The prices for the 2080 and 2080ti were ridiculous for 2 years and there was no price cut on Turing cards at all. Nv have shown they are willing to sit with cards on shelves and not sell them.
 
i dont like how GN tends to color the opinion with his very personal views, which should be avoided in product reviews, what we have here is a 70 class (which should have actually been a 60 class lol) card that's effectively competing with amd's 90 class card and atleast on paper is supposed to be cheaper (and i assume more efficient as well).. there is currently no other option in that tier other than the option to sit out this upgrade cycle or buy a used 3090 ti.. the recommendations dont make a lot of sense, because the guy gets too personal with narrative literally missing the forest for trees

Steve did give some relevant info though. 4070ti TUF will be $850 at launch so only $50 over MSRP. If you actually do want a 4070ti then I would snap up the early deals because I forsee all future models to be an OC version that is $100 more expensive for 15mhz more performance :rolleyes:

I disagree. We need big voices to tell nvidia these prices are unacceptable.

we always had improvements whlle keeping around the same pricing , this isnt 70 tier pricing

i dont see how its going to be fruitful.. you have to leave these things to market forces, right now the options are a 4070 ti, 7900 xt, used 3090 ti or just be sitting out.. and the guys got to comment on these lines and not be droning on about the 4080 12G unlaunch

right now for the 4070 ti, it looks like nvidia is following amd's lead so if amd drops prices we might end up getting a better deal

its really dictated by market and competition, i mean the only way GN can personally impact pricing is by starting his own gamer friendly gpu firm (GNvideo sounds like a good name)

His business is conveying correct information to the consumer, it's not personal per se. Nvidia's BS department reached new levels with the 3x 3090ti claims and should rightly be pointed out whenever possible, as would such rubbish if it appeared in scientific journals. We definitely need people like them, it's just a shame the customer base is far larger than people who view his and other likeminded videos, as can be seen by how many bought the Alienware Aurora pre-built.
