so when do these go live with prices? I suspect there will be none for £800
i was only talking abt the recommendation section of his video.. he has got to help consumers identify options and make a recommendation cant be going on a personal spiel here and talking like someone on a debate panel criticizing government policies, it sound good and all that but ultimately the consumers are none the wiserHis business is conveying correct information to the consumer, it's not personal per se. Nvidia's BS department reached new levels with the 3x 3090ti claims and should rightly be pointed out whenever possible, as would such rubbish if it appeared in scientific journals. We definitely need people like them, it's just a shame the customer base is far larger than people who view his and other likeminded videos, as can be seen by how many bought the Alienware Aurora pre-built.
I don't think he left anyone in any doubt that this was a card to be avoided.i was only talking abt the recommendation section of his video.. he has got to help consumers identify options and make a recommendation cant be going on a personal spiel here and talking like someone on a debate panel criticizing government policies, it sound good and all that but ultimately the consumers are none the wiser
so what's his recommendation 1) buy 7900xt b) used 3090 ti c) sit out.. its not very clear from where he is comingI don't think he left anyone in any doubt that this was a card to be avoided.
I think it's pretty clear his advice is "don't upgrade right now if this is the class of product you want"so what's his recommendation 1) buy 7900xt b) used 3090 ti c) sit out.. its not very clear from where he is coming
he kinda goes on a tangent educating nvidia on market strategy, when the intended audience is still scratching their collective heads - yes i should stop running.. then what??
On the stock notifications page for the two Inno3D X3 models, it lists the prices as £829.99 (non OC) and £848.99 (OC).Iv been round and round in circles today and scoured the internet looking for deals, I'm not wanting to go 2nd hand.
For me coming from a 1080ti and gaming at 1440p, not having to upgrade my PSU or go 2nd hand, if a 4070ti pops up around 850, regardless of naming convention it'll be a reasonable purchase for me.
I think it performs around the same as the competition I'm looking at, either the same price or cheaper, if 850 and will use less power/run cooler hopefully.
Painful upgrade times really...
the Roll of Honour thread for this is gonna be even more dead than the 4080 thread

I mean I bought my 3060 Ti for £390 just over 2 years ago and was hoping for an upgrade out of this gen, but as prices/performance goes my best option is still a used 3080
And currently if that's accurate it's cheaper than the majority of 3080's available, better performance and better power efficiency. On the stock notifications page for the two Inno3D X3 models, it lists the prices as £829.99 (non OC) and £848.99 (OC).
I have no idea if that is wrong, or is not meant to be shown, or something, but that is what it shows having added stock notifications to my account for those two cards.
The 4090 is already 64% faster and no doubt would be even higher without the fact that's it's bottlenecking in some titles so anyone who buys the 4070ti for £900 which will likely be the price then next gen pays a similar amount for a 5070ti probably won't even end up with a card as fast as the 4090 especially as the node jump won't be so big next time.
Yeh I'm sure I'll change my mind 1500 times by tomorrow hahahaman i think the way you are justifying the purchase you are going to be hit by buyer's remorse.. i would only say that this is supposed to be a hobby and some level of irrationality is allowed by default
What on earth are you playing at 1440p that needs a £850 graphics card?Iv been round and round in circles today and scoured the internet looking for deals, I'm not wanting to go 2nd hand.

But you can have a 60 class replacement card from Nvidia for only £900, what more do you want?
