What film did you watch last night?

We watched Red Riding: 1974 this evening. We watched it back when it was on TV, but haven't seen it since. It's good. Pretty grim stuff. It's got loads and loads and loads of ooh-I-recognise-them British actors in it and Andrew Garfield (he of The Amazing Spiderman) stars in it.

Mrs saw that the other day. She's read all the books and she thought the film was a good adaptation on the whole.

I haven't read the books, but the film was pretty good...the sequel begins filming in September, so it looks like the franchise is being given a real opportunity.

And Lily Collins is soooo hot that I am guaranteed to watch it.....several times, regardless of whether its actually any good or not...;)

The Look of Love (Steve Coogan as Paul Raymond) - I thoroughly recommend it, a much more compelling angle than I expected. The relationship with his daughter and other children was really the focus. Plus you see a bit of bush ;)

It's a disaster.

3/10 it really was a disaster. Wish they drunk the wine at the end just to watch them keel over and die !

I thought that this was a nice little gem of a movie . Very dry. You might want to consider putting spoiler tags on your post as it ruins the climax of the movie. David Cross and the supporting actors do a good job but the real star is the script .

It was very intriguing especially the way the story kept changing. Plus the fact it's been a long time since I can remember a good car chase. Felt like something from the late 80s/90s. It was refreshing. Rosamund Pike was great as well.

The GrandMaster 7/10

Found it a little confusing. Having watched Ip Man, everything seemed different. Will most likely have to read the book. Still enjoyed it. Great choreography and the music really contributed to the atmosphere.
Might watch Ip Man again tonight.

Now You See Me - heard a few bad things about this, but I enjoyed it. Guessed a few bits as mentioned early on, but still entertaining!

7/10

Pain and Gain 7.5/10

Despite being a Michael Bay film, it was a lot better than I expected.
He still can't help himself with the odd bit of slo-mo military porn and the Michael Bay patented perv-cam, but he did ok with this one IMO.

Amazingly shes Phil Collins little girl, cant believe he produced such a hot piece of ass:D. Missus wants to see the movie but im not sure if its worth going to the cinema or waiting for sky movies to get it.

I know, she obviously takes after her mother. If you wife is a fan of the books, I expect she would love the film and even if you don't like it, taking her to the cinema to see it has got to worth the brownie points later on....
