What film did you watch last night?

The amount of people getting their knickers in a twist over this film and raging about others not liking it, is just comical.

I thought that it was crap as well, I think I rated it a 5/10. People took offence to this and cried about it. You know what? People have different opinions on all sorts of things in life, not just a film (as in this instance). Seriously though, get over it.

The Iceman

Acting and script was quite decent. I think the main character didn't really come across that well though and the storyline was just mediocre. It could have been so much more epic, but come the end I kind of had this feeling that it lacked something and that the story didn't really go anywhere but to the ever predictable conclusion. If the film is to focus solely on one villainous character, he should be more gripping, like in No Country For Old Men, (he didn't scare/intimidate me as I think the writers had intended - the "ICEMAN"!). If it is going to involve so many big characters then maybe they should be more developed on and give the story more depth/epic like Casino. I'm babbling but I know what I mean :p

Don't get me wrong, it was still enjoyable, it just wasn't as good as expected and I won't be in a rush to re-watch.

Agreed. I felt that the performances and the period detail were great, but that there was a great deal missing.
Also, some of the inaccuracies were a bit unforgivable; Such as him having broken his wife's nose on several occasions in real life...

If you rewatch the last half hour at 8x speed with the Benny Hill music playing in the background, it is one of the funniest films you'll ever see. The whole end battle scene basically, can't remember anything that happens, just rolling on the floor with laughter.

Watched Red 2 this evening, was pretty average, I love a bit of Willis, but it was nowhere near the greatness of the first. I would give it 4 or 5 out of 10 because it was just meh.

Just terrible is soldier. Soo bad it makes 1995 judge dredd look good which makes 2013 judge dredd look also bad.
 
Yes, after watching 5 mins of Judge Dredd, as opposed to Dredd which is a different film and has a different title, I decided it was hammy ****e and not worth my time.

No I didn't rage I just didn't like what I had seen.

I do apologise for having differing tastes to others, I shall see a shrink and find out why I can't always conform.
 
Iron Man 3

Disappointing as I enjoyed the previous 2 (first still the best)



In particular the character of Mandarin just didn't work when they revealed he was a hammy actor playing a role who didn't know anything concerning the deaths and mayhem. This after having had a phone call with the president of the united states and pretending to kill someone. Just stood out so much and didn't fit in with the rest of the film at all.

Plus all the iron man automated suits and the remote control suits made Iron Man a bit pointless.

At the risk of feeling the wrath of some computer geeks I didn't like Iron Man 3 at all.

A suit that flies to Stark when he summons it. Mike from neighbours breathing fire. The stooge.

The Iron Man trilogy is not unlike the Matrix trilogy to me, a good first film followed by 2 **** sequels.

Really enjoyed it! Superb performance by Mark and Denzel (as usual). Mark was actually amazing in this, usually not fussed on him! Those two make the film though, the plot is decent and there isn't much else to like about the film aside from those 2, funny moments and decent action.

Star Trek into darkness - great blockbuster I thought, look fantastic from what I could see between al the lens flares. 7.5 - 10

Now you see me. - silly but quite enjoyable. Would have been better if they didn't use so much dodgy cgi on the tricks. Ending was a bit parp as well. 6-10
