What film did you watch last night?

London to Brighton > Fantastic performances all round.

Not an enjoyable film per say, but a very good film and it was British :)

One of the best acting performances I've ever seen from Mo'Nique as the mother.

One of the most powerful scenes in the history of cinema at the end as well.

I've seen that before, really enjoyed it. Currently listening to some Ennio Morricone with the volume cranked up, the music from this film is giving me goosebumps.
 
Night before last:
An Education, thought it was a really charming film. 7/10

Last night:
RocknRolla, talk about milking an idea. Stop trying to recreate Lock Stock Ritchie! 5/10 in fact 4/10 because its basically Lock Stock.

Tonight:
The Road, I like. 8/10

Yeah, but it's going to be aired so slowly (probably one a week) and I'm not sure I can handle that! I'd much prefer to buy the boxset straight away and watch it in one sitting on my own. :o

The Illusionist. Gorgeous historical drama with some neat plot twists. A sordid tale of forbidden lust, illegal cravings and false beards. :eek:

Edward Norton as you've never seen him before! Featuring a rare walk-in cameo by Neville Gorman! :)
 
Open Range – stuck on westerns at the moment. Good performances all around, great cinematography. A modern day classic western, you won’t be disappointed.
 
watched the Day of the Dead remake the other night.

It was terrible, how do you ruin such great source material completely. I enjoyed the dawn remake but this...Only partially redeemibng factor is that Mena Suvari is hot :)
 
500 Days of Summer.

Is it gay that I absolutely loved it? Such a 'cute' film and at all the cringey moments you're sat there thinking 'I've definately been in that position'.

So yeah, would recommend.
