What film did you watch last night?

Jinn...1/10 please i have suffered for everyone do not feel you need to suffer through it too.....nothing more than a "tv film"...if you knowwhat i mean.

Annabelle...slow start, found myself fidgeting in cinema and getting bored then it kicks off the scares full force. Didn't make me jump really however had a creeping sense of dread and foreboding as the film went on.

scene with the doll standing by the window then seeing what was holding it up

...really put me on edge.

Really freaked me out...don't do well with dolls and clowns.

Tried to watch Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas the other night.

Got about 50 mins in before I turned in off. Don't think I was in the right mood to be honest.

Can anyone convince me to try it again?

Fury 7/10

I'd been really looking forwards to this and to sum it up:

Its grim. Its brutal. Its stark. Its muddy and its bloody. After seeing the trailer, I was a bit worried about how Brad Pitts character would come across as it had streaks of Inglorious B's about it but its worked surprisingly better than I thought it would. Now here's the bad news:

It was BRILLIANT for the first three quarters of the film. But, the final stand scene descended a little into the absurd. It was as if Hollywood had got a hold of the last scene and said...."no no no, we need more dead Germans, then we're going to have a load of American soldiers slaying them left right and centre". It was just unrealistic and completely OTT and spoilt a little bit what was a brilliant film.

Another thing that got my goat was that it was daylight when they opened fire on the last column of Germans and within the space of 10 SECONDS it was totally dark. As in, night time! WTF?!!?

"A passing boat bound for New York pulls Jason Voorhees along for the ride. Look out New York, here comes hell in a hockey mask."

More like, "Part VIII - Jason takes Manhatten...for about 15 minutes.":p

This isn't as bad as most people try to make out. It even has a few memorable death scenes.

Yeah 7/10 for me as well. It was very convincing and believable of the circumstances and the group. However thought the plot was a bit........simple and the ....

the last quarter was rushed, far fetched and Unrealistic don't get me wrong fury, determination and anger is one thing but it changed the pace and realism for me too much. Btw if 2 nades got dropped into a closed confined space, things would not be intact if you get my drift

The overall general acting was good and surprisingly Shia LeBouf was top notch (although rl he a nutter) . There must a clause in the movie where Brad Pitts appearance is paramount where hair, face is not out place no matter the situation. Good overall once off war movie but could have better imo

The Babadook

Definitely worth a watch if you're a fan of horror. I'm not a fan of Australian accents, but easily got over it. The chick who plays the main character is crazy good, will definitely watch more films with her in. Also, it's rare that the kid actor is good as well.

I like the subtlety of what the film is about and what The Babadook represents, simple and kinda sweet but also rather dark.
There's a couple of bits with some light humour involving what the kid says in an innocent way, which is nice to see in a horror.
The ending is acceptable, not great, but I get it and it makes sense to the story.

Worth seeing in the cinema, so long as you can guarantee a mature audience. The film was ruined slightly by having a few ***** watching it, laughing at inappropriate times. But hey, that happens at the cinema.

7.5/10

Edge of Tomorrow 7/10

I love Cruise, as always :D and Emily Blunt does have a certain something...

I would have rated it higher, but
when the story hits its first twist, I think the film loses its edge in a major fashion. Shame really. :(

Maybe I'll rate it higher next time around....

Fury 6.5/10

Kyo says it all. Exactly how i felt.. It is watchable but if you enjoy WW2 History its frustrating and ridiculous.

Its worth watching but rather meh.

I, Frankenstein

Yes it's cheesy, cliched ridden, and full of plot-holes, but I'll be damned if it doesn't have some sweet-ass special effects and fight scenes!

6/10

Prisoners

Thoroughly engaging from beginning to end, despite the long run time.
I did figure out pretty much who was responsible and how they related by about midway, but I didn't get all the details and it played out well.

Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal were excellent.

8.5/10

Hercules

Wasn't expecting much and I didn't get much, so I wasn't too disappointed tbh.
It was ok, nothing special.

Everyone played their parts well enough for this kind of film.

5/10 and not in a bad way.

Watched most of this film ages ago and was enjoying it loads.
But when everything started to happen, GF decided we had to go out. Still dying to see end.
