What film did you watch last night?

thats the whole point of the film

with the armoured exo suit and lots of practice in it she doesnt need to be strong

look at the rest of "J" squad - they are volunteers (at a point in a war which id imagine has already wiped out all the traditional warrior types) made up of a fatty, a short small woman, and a couple of skinny blokes

the reason Blunt is good in this film is that she sells the idea that she would have been just as instantly dead as TC is on his first go, and thanks to her near unlimited amount of training time has become a killing machine

she is a poster girl because a)she wiped out a ton of mimics at the Verdun battle and b) The Military used her as example to get more people to volunteer "look at how many enemy this untrainined size 0 waif can kill with our amazing exo suit things"

Didnt work for me so will agree to disagree, bog standard Cruise averageness. Her acting was poor too but then the plot wasn't up to much I guess. Cant remember the last time he made a great film, possibly the 80's......:)

Frozen is one of those films that realy seems to split the sexes. My gf and daughter love it, me not so much.

Yeah Frozen is not exactly blokey but I'm far too long in the tooth to care about that crap anymore so I just try to appreciate things for what they are.

Wasn't sure about How to Train Your Dragon at first but it definitely won me over in the end.

A Few Good Men
Tropic Thunder – Come On, did you really expect that? :D

Others that I enjoyed

Oblivion
Jack Reacher
The Last Samurai

Like gettothechopper says, she was killed over and over and over again until she learned what to do, and how to do it - as you saw with Cruise' character. On top that, the Omega allowed them to win at Verdun.
Regarding that, there really is nothing to disagree about mate :) Your opinion on the acting etc is obviously your choice though :D

lol Jack reacher was absolutely terrible. :p

One of the most overrated actors of all time imo, though he doesnt really act, plays the same character in every single film.

Aye, he's rubbish. He'd never have got so far if it weren't for the eye candy factor. He's been in some good films, but they're not good because of him.

He must be doing something right as he's still an A list celeb after 30yrs of acting.
Only film of his I have a problem with is war of the worlds but that's mainly because I love the book, love the original film and love the Jeff Wayne album ( got tickets to go see it in manchester yay)

Dont have a problem with him, just a pintsize jobbing actor, makes consistently watchable but average films. :)

I thought it was good enough to sit and watch in one go - which for me is high praise indeed :o

I know its a marmite film but I also happen to think Vanilla Sky is a brilliant film. I never though a film could make me grimmace at the very thought of Cameron Diaz...

im not a TC fan at all - not really bothered by his usual films

that said I actually thought he was quite good in Edge of Tomorrow
has a pretty massive change throughout his character from weasel to warrior and he I think he pulls it off!

The Maze Runner 6/10

Built the tension up fairly nicely and then nothing. Bit disappointing in the end, though clearly leading into a sequel.

Watched 2 films last night.

Assault on Wall Street - No action till the last 20 mins which was a bit disappointing but I liked the story and how it showed how hard it was for people who lost everything when the Economy collapsed.

Free Birds - Great film! GF & I really enjoyed this film and is was very funny :D
