What film did you watch last night?

Watched Shutter Island at the big screen last night. I really enjoyed it and just love the team of Leo & Marty!! A very good thriller with a nice twist (maybe a little too predictive), but none the less very well done.

Finally watched "Zombieland" last night for the first time. I wouldn't say hilarious, but certainly worthy of a few good chuckles. Decent storyline and a lot of gore, definitely a different twist on classic zombie flicks.

The "rules" on the narrator's list are a wonderful addition.

8 / 10.

Also watched Zombieland yesterday and though it was great, best zombie movie i've seen in a long time. Had some pretty funny bits, Woody Harrelson was great in it and I liked the scenes with a certain actor playing himself - although i saw what was coming I felt being a little bit predictable at times didn't let this film down at any point as I really wanted what i thought was going to happen to do so.

Up

Enjoyed it, really enjoyed it :)

Looked fantastic, everything about it just oozed class.

Awesome movie...like you enjoyed it immensley...one of the better kiddie movies thats been churned out...recommended by my nephew and niece as they saw it.

Watched Up in the air last night.

Thought it was very enjoyable in a "George Clooney plays an incredibly handsome yet slightly flawed succesful businessman" kind of way. :p

No really it was good, all the performances wer good but i didnt believe Jason bateman's character at all, he just seemed too young.

8/10 definately worth a watch.

Another good movie that i enjoyed when i watched it about a month ago...Clooney did a decent role in it.

Watched Valentines day last night with the missus....utterly rubbish movie trying to cash in on the valentine day malarky...god knows why i went....id give it a 3/10 and thats me being generous.

Is Shutter Island the one at the mental hospital on an island somewhere? Looks rather interesting (if it is), might have to hit the cinema on Wednesday.

The Taking of Pelham 123.

A by-the-numbers hostage thriller.

Nothing special, a pretty standard afair. I've seen worse films.

Surrogate - 5/10

Incredibly predictable, every "twist" was obvious from the moment the character/s involved were introduced and the ending was clear from about 10 minutes in. The CGI was a bit dodgy at times as well.
However the acting was pretty decent and the story itself was marginally interesting and kept me entertained to the end so it wasn't a complete loss.

Oddly it struck me as a cheap knock off of Minority Report, a movie I enjoyed considerably more.

I got in everyone's hostile little face. Yes, these are bruises from fighting. Yes, I'm comfortable with that. I am enlightened.

I'll let you work it out :D and yes....again

9/10

Scarface. Not seen it before. It was very good. I found it surprisingly witty in parts. The rise to power was more interesting than the downfall though.
