What film did you watch last night?

Pain & gain. I thought I would turn it off after 20mins, but it was ok. 5.5/10

Pain & Gain... I just finished this and thought that this was actually a good movie, even more surprised when I saw it was from Michael Bay.

Very well directed and shot, darkly comical, and perfectly acted by the leads. Very pleasantly surprised.

7.5/10.

The Guvnors

Was going great, really started to grip me... The boom, they ruined it, completely.

Was heading for 6/10, ended up 3/10.

Oblivion

Liked it (but God damn the "edge of tomorrow" ending - what the the hell Tom .......)

Please just stay dead in a film ..........
Despite the ending 8/10

Saying that there at least a point for olga kurylenko - nom nom

Into the Wild - 7.5

It's something I'd love to do; just give up everything and vanish for a few years. It'd be bliss. I'd like to think I'd be a bit more prepared and less naive than him though.

Yeah, I felt the same.
It could have been ok if not for the ending and that annoying bully kid and his over the top acting/aggy issues.

Dracula Untold
Ah, whatever.
Luke Evans was good, the film was meh.
Reasonable buildup, crap finale.

5/10

How old are you? Curious because I thought that film was atrocious 3/10 at best. However it may be because I'm not the same generation.

Agreed, really poor film. My much younger sibling enjoyed it though.

The Matrix

Yes, a first time viewing (gasp).

9/10, cracking film.

Wow I wish I could see The Matrix for the first time again!
Infact I am going to watch it again (for probably the 30th time)

Larry Crowne: average rom-com with a couple of famous actors. Tom Hanks is Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts smiles a lot, but it was like she was a supporting role rather than a main lead. Nice enough with some good moments, but "Everything Must Go" is a far better movie in the same vein. "Larry Crowne" is a snack, "Everything Must Go" is a meal.

Gravity 8/10

Finally got round to watching the DVD i bought in black friday week.

Mostly enjoyed it but boy was it short. Pixar animation levels of short. Loved the outside shots and the feeling that they wasn't any actual gravity.

But, and it's a big but and i feel I may be missing something obvious, but

how come clooney got dragged away on the end of the tether but bobbins didn't? she just sprang back when he let go, were they supposed to be partly in the atmosphere or something?
