What film did you watch last night?

In the same vain as Kill Bill, I just watched Ninja Assassins.

Entertaining in its own way. Ideal if you want to just sit back and not have to think too much for 2 hours.
 
Shutter Island

Not a fan of this at all, we figured it out pretty early on and then the whole movie just kind of meandered to its end goal.

It looked really nice, was definately well acted but unfortunately i found myself nodding off toward the final third of the film.

Kill Theory. Predictable kill-by-numbers slasher flick. Nothing new to see here. Even the chick with the big norks can't save it.
 
Paranormal Activity.

I enjoyed it and there were a few creepy moments. I do prefer this kind of horror to what usually passes as horror nowadays. Let the mind do the work, far more effective than showing stuff.

that reviews mentioned this film in the same breath as Shaun of the Dead makes me very sad, and curious as to the average film go'ers mindset. how did this creep to 7.9 on imdb?
 
Shutter Island....bit of a mixed bag this movie...was expecting more but was kinda left wanting more if you get what i mean....not a bad movie by all accounts but it left me scratching my head in a few places.

I'll probably watch it again tonight when i get home and pay a bit more attention to it than i did last night:p

I really enjoyed it, I thought it was easily a 7/10 film.

It looks good, reminded me of Left 4 Dead to be honest, esp in look and feel and the clown zombie :D

Woody Harrelson was brilliant in it, really really good performance.

I think towards the end, if you think about it, it asks more questions then it answers.

Thats basically it i think...it asks more questions than it answers...im gonna watch it again tonight...its probably one of those movies that i need to see a second time to really enjoy it although i did enjoy it the first time round.
 
Alien Vs Predator - Requiem

Made my way through the Alien/Predator Total Destruction boxset, originals are still the best. Saying that, Predators looks like it might be ok.
 
Watched GI Joe today, zzzzzzzzz. Nuff said.

But watched Let the Right One In last night, very strange but very moving film. Really enjoyed it. Now what to watch tonight!
 
Invictus

I haven't really read any reviews or followed any hype on this film but after watching I got to say I'm quite impressed. Sure accents are off and odd out of place soundtrack there and then, but overall it manages to be entertaining throughout despite us knowing what's going to happen. I also thought the beginning was a little iffy but still I'll give it a 7/10.
