What film did you watch last night?

AvP: Requiem. Lordy that was a load of ****: I'm so glad I never paid to see it in the cinema. The only fun was working out who would die after they were introduced. The only one I got wrong was the two brothers: I thought one of them would bite the big one.

I did a bit of cinema history yesterday, quite unintentionally I watched three films equally spread over 80 years, one from the 1930's one from the 70's and one from this year.

1930's was Charlie Chaplin in Modern Times, I liked it but it was no where near as good as the Great Dictator which I watched a short while back. This was was almost a silent talkie, some superb moments but overall didn't really grab me. 3/5

1970's was Star Wars with my sons, what can you say it was Star Wars! However, maybe I am getting old but some bits just seemed silly . Obviously it is one of the major films of my youth and I sat there enjoying it with the next generation as they loved it too. My eldest pleased me by saying he liked IV, V and VI much more than I, II and III. so overall 5/5.

2010 I got dragged to see Cats and Dogs - The Revenge of Kitty Galore. Garbage. Only slight redeeming feature was that Roger Moore voiced one of the spy cats. 1/5.

Jumpers.
Was ok started well but lost it's way, Far more libertys needed to be taken. :D

The Crazies - original Romero production.

what can i say, the sound editing was appalling and i do mean possibly the worst i have ever encountered on a real film. there was no chill or suspense, the film did make me question, was romero really a great director that some people made him out to be?

Clash Of The Titans. From all the posts on here I knew it wouldn't be up to much. I still enjoyed it as a bog standard action film for a Sunday night. I do like the old mythological stories and despite it being pretty weak film, I was entertained...mildly. 4/10

Rogue - Party of tourists on a boat and a giant crocodile stalking them. It was better than expected for this sort of film so ... 6/10

Saw this the other night also and really enjoyed it and the lead actor in avatar has a rather interesting roll in it, without giving away spoilers lol.

Watched the original batman last night and thought most of it was laughable compared to batman begins. They really didn't age well did they compared to the reboots.

Watched Rec 2 last night, was ok but quite dissappointed after looking forward to it for so long. Cliches of annoying characters and stupid unrealistic decisions, could have been so much better :( 5/10
