It's a 10 for me I reckon. First time I watched it was on a small B&W tv away on holiday (around 2001). It fitted that medium perfectly and was a real treat to watch without any prior knowledge of it.

I remembered seeing a trailer of a warewolf transformation where everyone in a room were watching unsuspectingly, is that the one?
The Empire Strikes Back
The wife has never seen Star Wars, or many movies for that matter, so I've been introducing her to major/landmarks over the last few months. Still holds up, still a fantastic movie, still has a special place in my heart. 9/10.

No, this is it, it's over 40 years old now and if I remember correctly the guy who did the effects went on to do the Micheal Jackson video for the song Thriller which is also worth a watch.

Yeah I think THE only good PG/12 rated horror was 'The Others' IIRC that was a PG or a 12 wasn't it? Didn't need to rely on gore and had some terrifying moments, the twist although obvious after you've seen it was well played for it's time.

Based on the true story of the Snowtown or "bodies in barrels murders" in Australia during the 90's. Plays like a fly on the wall documentary for the most part and as a result seems even more chilling. At times it's very hard to watch, but after reading up about the case it was toned down to what the victims really suffered.
I seem to be on a run of difficult to watch films at the minute.

Yep, I found that hard to watch in places as well. I can't remember the character's name now, but the leader was a horrible and sadistic piece of work.

Lift (2024) - 2/10
A pretty typical heist movie which has a slick and professional style and lots of international travel but is instantly forgettable due to its lack of substance.
The theft is ambitious and somewhat entertaining with a couple of modern gimmicks to make it different but it’s just too unrealistic to be believable and the gaping plot holes just make it worse.
The team are your generic diverse group of moral thieves, the villains are clichéd stereotypes and the relationship scenes are dull and flat.
No humour, drama or suspense, the first hour is slow and boring and the ending is silly and banal.

I remembered liking this before and I still do. Noticeably bigger budget than the third free and a few well known actors in it (Dennis Hopper!) but still keeps the vibe of the series. Sadly I think this is the last of the good ones so it may be downhill from here, don't remember anything from the last two though.

Will defo check it out, havent watched it in a long time but i agree they dont make them like this any longer.

After a few heavy hitters, we decided on something a little lighter.
Not a bad film or a good one either. Felt like a paint by numbers film that wasted it's cast.
Although I must admit to having a few belly laughs when they decided to torture their weather man, by sticking him on rollercoasters or getting to do a tandem parachute jump.
