What film did you watch last night?

Watching Into the Wild ive seen it before and its a good film but i find the main character to be extremely selfish and by the end of it i really don't like him.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. Enjoyed it, even though you practically need a degree in investment banking to understand the finer details of what was going on.

Collateral for me last night, very good film. First time I'd watched it in HD since I got it on Blu Ray in the summer

8/10

I've been watching some more ganster classics which I haven't seen yet :D

Once upon a time in America

I watched the the original directors version not the cut down version, it is very long (nearly 4 hours!). I had to watch in a few sittings unfortunately so lost some of the effect. I felt some of the scenes didn't need to be as long as they were, but I enjoyed the film and would give it 7/10. Possibly this would be higher if I watched the whole thing in one sitting.

Millers crossing

Clever film this, I like the idea of the main guy being a "thinker" who plans the "angles". 8/10.

Still to come - Infernal affairs and White heat :)

Lots of people make this complaint about this particular film - "the main character is an idiot, so i didn't like it" seems to be the prevailing reasoning among those that didn't like it. What I would say is that it is a film based on a true story, and as such the people within that story, including the main character are real people, they are flawed, they are stupid from time to time and they do make mistakes. The story and journey which Christopher undertakes is what makes the film a great film in my mind.

Oh i loved the film and i know its a true story but this does not change the fact i find him selfish.

Gone Baby Gone

Some parts of the film irritated me, it was a good film with a good story if not a little all over the place and the ending was good and got me thinking about how people go about making their choices and the difference between right and wrong but ulimately it was a little frustrating and I dont think its as good as The Town.

Definitely - my comment wasn't aimed at you directly but just more generally at people who have said in the past that they dislike the film for the reason that they don't like the main character. :)

Get him to the Greek.

Not a great film but also no the worst and made me laugh in parts, worth a watch with a Beer or two and some mates. :)

6.5/10

I recently watched the A Team.

Silly, over the top action movie with some good casting.

Thought it was "okay", really enjoyed it as I'm a fan of films that I can just switch off and enjoy.

Loved, loved loved loved the clip with the tank, the german lady the lake and the "which way to Berlin?" Laughed out loud at that :p

Contact (1997)

Haven't seen it in probably ten years. I appreciated it on a whole different level on this viewing. Could completely sense Carl Sagan's influences in the story. Legend.
