What film did you watch last night?

Up In The Air. George Clooney is as charismatic and watchable as ever, and the rest of the cast was good. I found the ending a bit jarring and unsettling, with him being left so unsatisfied, with none of the things he wanted.

That's actually why I liked the ending, need to see it sometime again.

The Town

Solid film with good performances but no cult status of Heat or Ronin. As they say, "Close but no cigar".

7/10

Tron Legacy

Never seen the original and came to see this as company and only seen a trailer of it so wasn't sure what to expect. Found it very enjoyable and loved the visual style, good piece of entertainment.

7/10

Yeah, I've not seen that many films recently. I hear the Inside Man is good so got that on the way from Lovefilm.

I love Inside Man, Clive Owen is the man.

Watched Step Up 3 ... 6/10, it's worse than the last ones which I did actually like

Mega Shark Vs Crocosaurus comes a close second to Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus both films get 7.5/10 from me, if you have to miss a film this make sure it's not this one.

A couple of films for me today.

The Conversation. 8/10

A quiet film that goes about its business in a restrained, but extremely clever fashion. I rather liked the twist too. The only thing that jarred was seeing a pre Star Wars Harrison Ford. It never seems right watching him in these 70's roles. Other than that, this is one of the best films I've seen in months.

Rambo
6.5/10

The Burmese tourist board must love this film :D, but it didn't do a lot for me. First Blood Part One is a fine film and certainly worth a viewing, this lacked the originals depth. Just a lot a killing interspersed with a bit of dialogue, moody silences and some casual violence.

I'm going to have a listen to Sly's commentary tomorrow. Should be interesting.

Up in the Air - 8/10 - Clooney back to his best; supporting cast did pretty well too. Really worth a watch

What a brilliant film! How I've managed not to see it yet is quite remarkable.
Just brilliant :D

Good to hear, that's next on my list.

Black Swan 9/10 - Natalie Portman:D I think i could gladly watch her do her tax returns for two hours tbh. To be fair it's an excellent movie in it's own right

Devil 6/10 - Decent horror flick with some nice twists

I didn't say I didn't like it ;)

I admire a film that is brave enough to have an "unconventional" ending and this really worked well.

Yeah it was a good film, although you could see the ending coming the moment she opened her door so to speak! ;) ... :D ... ... :o
