What film did you watch last night?

Watched a couple of movies last night on blu ray. Indiana Jones and The Cystal Skull: Not a patch on the earlier films of the series but still entertaining and with some good set pieces.

Doubt: This I thought was superb,based on life within a catholic prep school in the 1960's New York Bronx,it touches on very sensitive subject matter but is so well written and acted I couldn't help being drawn in. Unbelievably convincing performances imo from just about every cast member,especially Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman. A must watch movie imo.
 
The Edge (1997)

Anthony Hopkins at his best. Not the most realistic of adventure films but I enjoyed it a lot.

Alec Baldwin was also excellent.

That... THAT's your review of Old Boy? One of the best Korean films to be released outside the country and the film that broke Chan Wook Park? That's it?

And yes, it's Korean not Japanese.
 
Tron: Legacy at the IMAX.

Great movie. Highly enjoyable. Thin on the plot and script, but neither are terrible.

3D is extremely subtle but well done. Worth seeing it at the IMAX just for the massive picture.
 
The Weather Man

Dry witty humour from the off, but is quite depressing following the life of the loser who just accepts his patheticness as-is. Good acting from Caine and Cage (to a lesser extent), but the story is rather mundane and not helped by the weak, stereotypical support cast. Ending is both moral & moving.

I thought the film wasnt anything special. I went out and bought this a while back on all the good reviews. I watched it once and then sold it. Was a big disappointment :(

someone said to me that its a film that needs to be watched twice to understand but i thought it was fairly easy to get the jist of it on the first watch , really enjoyed it.

Ended up watching My Cousin Vinny last night on Sky1 HD...just a superb and very funny movie...Marisa Tomei looks just so flippin hot but Pesci is the one who stole the show...such a hilarious movie...

How could you see two yutes...excuse me what did you say...yutes, oh sorry your honour, YOUTHS:D:D.

Awesome just awesome that movie.
