What film did you watch last night?

It's Kind Of Funny Story - 3/10

VERY boring, couldn't wait for it to finish. OK cast so thought it would be a lot better.

Green Hornet - 6/10

OK, some mildly funny parts that got a snigger, I can't decide whether Rogen was a good or bad choice for this role, I can't see it being a role for a serious character as he's a very boring "superhero". Kato was a bit irritating too. Predictable story line.

'Undercover War'.

The DVD cover looks AMAZING. Planes, tanks and lots of fighting.

BUT...

It turns out to be an "arty-farty" French film where nothing actually happens, weak storyline with not much talking and instead a lot of "thoughtful" bits and general confusion. There was no tanks, barely a shot was fired and most of the story followed some random French *** living underground for a bit.

2/10.

Salt.
Wasn't entirely sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Thought it was a good fun action film and kept my attention at 3am. Not sure if I'd watch it again, but looking forward to the inevitable sequel. Angelina was pretty good in it and the story was pretty good.
7/10.

Dogtooth 9/10. Fantastic concept, a family living in a false reality. Quite a dark movie with some uncomfortable themes but it's great to see something unique for a change

For a Few Dollars More - Superb movie as expected from Leone. 9/10

Seven - Completely forgotten then was a Fincher movie until I read the blurb on the back. Another fantastic movie and good to see a movie that didn't go down the old hollywood happy ending. It also looks fantastic on blu-ray 8/10

Ive got the triology of spaghetti westerns on my shelf. Ive watchd the first, and need to find motivation to do the other 2 sooner than later! You might have pushed me over the edge!

(nb ive seen them all before on tv but re bought them all on dvd!)

Similar to me then, got the blu-ray boxset of the Man With No Name triology watched Fistful of dollars straight away tjhen put it on my shelf. Decided to watch the 2nd last night gonna watch the good the bad tonight.

Apocalypse Now Redux 7/10

First time I've watched the Redux version and I didn't enjoy it as much as the normal version. I've always found the last 1/4 of the film quite difficult viewing but the additional French plantation scene made it a complete chore to watch. Added nothing to the film and felt like it went on for far too long.

Still love everything else about the film and on Blu-ray it's the best I've seen or heard it

Invictus 8.5/10

An excellent film, even if you are not a great rugby fan like me. A story that really needed to be made into a film, excellent acting and direction. I'd highly recommend this if you haven't already seen it.

Repo Man (1984) - once was a good film but watching it tonight felt like a chore. I think it was one of those films where if it's on late at night you stay up watching it but in reality it isn't that great. 5/10

Hellraiser 2: hellbound

7/10 due to looking amazingly dated compared to a lot of other films from the same time but has some really good memorable moments for horror fans
