What film did you watch last night?

8/10 for dead mans shoes? Poor acting and the story wasnt that great..

Watched 13 ghosts last night. Popped up in a convo and decided its been a long while since i seen it

127 hours - 9/10.

Very good film and very enjoyable. I would recommend it to anybody who hasn't seen it, it isn't in the slightest bit boring or dull and is very well directed.

Nothing wrong with the acting at all, typical thugish English film, just like the This Is England films. The storyline was predictable but reading the synopsis you knew this already.

Watched Shaolin Soccer again last night, quality film! Im not a big fan of Football, but with Kung Fu thrown in the mix it is awesome, a really great comedy. Love it! 9/10 :D

Great film, as is Kung Fu hustle!!

Last night I watched Triangle, I was surprised how much I enjoyed it! 8/10.

also watched Hot Tub Time Machine and thoroughly enjoyed that too :) 7.5/10

*******POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT*******

127 Hours

was ok, however i just wanted him to get on with cutting his arm off, if it wasnt based on a true story i dont think i would have enjoyed it quite as much.

6.5/10

The Green Hornet

Wel, I was expecting a Spiderman/Batman type of superhero movie but it turned into a Seth Rogen type of movie where he isn't actually the superhero while his sidekick is :p

Still, some laughs and Cameron Diaz, giggidy.

127 Hours
Good story, but lost it in the middle. Could easily cut 10-20 minutes of the middle part off. So it's 7/10 for me.

Devil
Cheap thriller. 3/10

SAW 3d
If you are into gore, blood and pain then 10/10
if you just want to watch a movie then 3/10

The Matrix Reloaded

Watched the The Matrix Saturday night so watched the sequel last night, tbh I've never thought any of The Matrix films were as good as they were hyped up but nonetheless a good sequel

7/10

Will watch Revolutions tonight, which if IIRC was universally slammed as being the worst of the 3 but I can remember quite liking it as it was kept simple....

Devil

Quite good, wasn't quite as much happening as I thought but it certainly built up tension and the ending quite a good twist

7/10

Battle in Seattle, 9/10 - I'm not a tree hugging, lets all kiss and be best of friends type as I'm a realist and don't live in a fairytale (I'm looking at your Superwzea), but this film was brilliant. I engaged with the actors and really felt for their cause. I liked the way that the story dealt with each angle slightly differently and you were able to feel compassion when you perhaps would find it difficult.
A cracking watch and will probably challenge peoples views effectively.

It's on the Iplayer, 80 minutes long and very worthy of your attention.

Social Network - Really enjoyed it BUT because it was interesting more than anything. Not sure why it's winning loads of awards. 8/10

Rebecca - 1940 Alfred Hitchcock. You can tell that he was the 'master of suspense' the tension/isolation felt about halfway through the film is superb. Overall though it didn't grab me as much as some of his other films. 3/5

Sicko

Another one of Michael Moore's documentaries taking on the American healthcare system this time. It started off rather well with some factual evidence, however, soon found itself degenerating into showing sad pictures along with tear jerker soundtrack playing in the background. That along with Mr Moore showing himself as an absolute ignorant fool in this one makes up for a very average documentary I think. It did though make me think about our own NHS, for all the bitching we do about the service it is nice to have a system where you just walk into the hospital and get same treatment no matter where you are on the social or economic scale.

The Machinist - 7/10

A decent flick and Christian Bale does put in a good performance. However, there were parts which failed to hold my attention. Other than that it was quite well paced and I'd probably watch it again.
