What film did you watch last night?

candyman 7/10

Didnt think would be any good but it has generally creeped me out big time :p Im scared to go near a bloody mirror now, the guy who plays the candyman is sooo creepy.

For a Few Dollars More - Superb movie as expected from Leone. 9/10

Seven - Completely forgotten then was a Fincher movie until I read the blurb on the back. Another fantastic movie and good to see a movie that didn't go down the old hollywood happy ending. It also looks fantastic on blu-ray 8/10

8/10? Tight sod eh? Easily worthy of a 9 for Spacey's performance alone.

Watched the Book of Eli last night. Loved it. Very entertaining and I didn't predict the twist exactly, which is always good.

Completed the awful trilogy of cube films over the past two days:

Cube 2 - Hypercube: This was really, really bad. The plot was wafer thin and every character is cliched and annoying as hell. The 'traps' were not existant and the ending was just terrible. Woeful film! 2/10

Cube Zero: Finally a cube film with some fairly decent plot. The characters were more interesting, the traps were fairly impressive (reminded me of saw in places, I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that both films are from lionsgate studios?) and the twist at the end was great. There was also the appearance of a bizarre one eyed character who was obviously tongue in cheek, but welcome. Very watchable 6/10

Was planning on watching The Good, The Band and The Ugly but after playing Mass Effect 2 and watching the footy highlights it was 1 in the morning and decided a 3hr movie probably wasn't the best idea.

So watched Hangover so I could get it sent back to lovefilm. Movie wasn't as funny as I remembered it from the 1st time I saw it. Still funny thou. 7/10

Watched that last night as well. My 2nd time watching it and it is a bit funny at times. I agree, 7/10. :)

Black Swan - It was the Mrs choice at the movies and I had no idea what this film was about except it looked pretty dark, first 15mins 'urgh movie about ballet' but from then on I can honestly say it was a brilliant film. Natalie Portman does a fantastic job of young girl turning crazy and definitely deserves some nods or winning some awards. I won't talk about what happens as it was a complete surprise to me and I enjoyed that. 9/10!
Maybe earn some brownie points and suggest to your other half, 'hey fancy going to see that chick flick about Ballet?' ;)
It's like a chick version of Fight Club :D

Watched Space Cowboys the other night. Produced and directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tommy Lee Jones, James Garner and Donald Sutherland.

A fantastic film about a bunch of late 50s Air Force test pilots who dreamt of reaching space when the President took the space race duties from the Air Force and gave it to the newly created NASA. 40 years later there's a Russian satellite on a decaying orbit and the only people who can fix it? Yup, the old guys who finally get their chance to blast off into space.

8/10 I think. This film reminds me of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid in that both films feature iconic, fantastic actors who appear to have had the time of their lives making the films and who could bring any script, poor or bad, to life.

Watched Shaolin Soccer again last night, quality film! Im not a big fan of Football, but with Kung Fu thrown in the mix it is awesome, a really great comedy. Love it! 9/10 :D

This may sound petty and some people may not think it spoilerish but can people stop taking about plot twists in films. For me even the mention that there is a twist is a spoiler, not every film has a twist so when you hear that a film has one it takes a whole lot of the surprise away - even if you have no idea what the twist is you are expecting somethig and therefore do not fully appreciate the film.

Thank you, rant over.

127 hours - 9/10.

Very good film and very enjoyable. I would recommend it to anybody who hasn't seen it, it isn't in the slightest bit boring or dull and is very well directed.

Bourne Ultimatum. 6/10

Is there are 'meh' smilie?

I was just about to review Planet of the Apes too...

Buried - 8/10

Brilliantly shot, and written. Ryan Reynolds is excellent.
You know it's good if you think how you might feel in his position, and he pretty much portrays every range of emotion/reaction you might expect very realistically.
